Alice was lying in bed holding Dana close, while she slept. Alice felt an amazing excitement in her gut to have Dana in her bed. She wanted to wake Dana up and yell, Can you believe that you are here with me? Without ***** hiding? But Dana had been upset and sobbing throughout the night. Suddenly Alice had to figure out how everything was going to play out between her and Dana. She knew that they would have to go extremely slow with this. She definitely did not want to lose their valuable friendship. It then hit Alice that they were going to have to tell the other ladies. Everyone, except Shane and Andie, didnt know about their growing attraction. Alice looked at Dana curled so close to her. She watched Dana sleep as she thought about the days to come. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Shanes head was pounding; she tried to keep her mind off of it by talking to one of the other hairstylists. She played with a spray bottles nuzzle as she talked and laughed. Shane your appointment is here. The receptionist called to her. All right. Shane turned around and saw Tarin standing next to the receptionists desk. Shanes face dropped a long with the spray bottle at the sight of Tarin. Tarin was wearing a pair of faded jeans hanging dangerously Britney Spears low on her hips and a light blue skintight sleeveless t-shirt. She walked up passed Shane and sat down into the stations chair. Shane followed Tarin to the station. Her waist length red curls hung down her back. I was hoping you could trim and highlight my hair. Tarin said looking at Shane in the mirror. What are you doing here, Tarin? Shane asked. Getting my hair done. Tarin raised one of her eyebrows. After my hair is done maybe we can go get lunch. Tarin said as she played with one of her curls. Im having lunch with Andie and the others today. Shane said a little impatient. Thats what I meant Shane. Im supposed to meet up with Zo at the Planet. So we should get started. Tarin laughed a little bit. Shane nodded and pulled out a cape. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Andie yawned and leaned back in her chair. Her black hair was tucked under a blue beanie with pieces of her hair slipping out here and there. She smoothed her hands over her gray slacks that had black patches stitched in different places. She looked up and saw Carmen standing at the counter waiting for her order. The Latina had half of her chocolate colored hair pulled back. Dark blue baggy jeans hung off of her waist, revealing the edges of what would seem to be several tattoos that worked around Carmens waist. She wore a snug yellow t-shirt. Carmen turned around and saw Andie; she smiled and waved to Andie, who waved back. She held up a finger as if to say she would be over in a minute. Andie nodded and then saw Zo pop in. She walked over to Andies table sluggishly. Zo had sunglasses on and looked extremely hung over. Her blonde and blue hair sticking up all over. She was dressed in all black, looking as if she was going to a funeral. Hey. She said as she plopped down into a chair. Andie smirked. How are you feeling my ray of sunshine? Zo snarled and flipped Andie off. She took off her sunglass and laid them on the table. Wheres Red? Andie asked. Tarin said shed meet us here. Zo thought for a moment. And? She looked around a moment and then Carmen caught her eye. Hey isnt that the gal who D.Js here on Fridays? Yep. Andie said looking up at Carmen. Whoa is she down? Zo asked not taking her eyes off of the beautiful woman. Im not sure, maybe. Andie answered. Well find out. Hey And, I wanted to talk to you. Zo started to say. Hi Andie. Carmen said standing next to their table. She smiled. Can I sit with you guys? Sure. Zo answered for Andie who choked back a laugh. Carmen sat down next to Zo, setting her drink down. Zo watched her closely. Andie could tell she was going through the list of obvious ***** traits in her head. Im looking forward to your show tomorrow. I havent been able to catch one yet because of other projects I had going on. Carmen said. Very cool. Oh this is Zo Carmen. Zo. Carmen. Andie said. The two shook hands. Hi! Carmen smiled. Hey. Zo said, their gaze stayed on each other for a few moments. I play guitar in our band. Carmen nodded. I hear you guys are pretty good. Were okay. Zo shrugged. Im sure you guys are more than okay. She was quiet as she worked and then spoke up. Andie told me the story about you and Tayo. Did she tell you how much of a stalker Tayo was? Tarin said defensive. Why did you mess with her and Alices minds? Shane asked. Play with their minds? Tarin growled, she felt her voice get louder, but brought it back down. I didnt mean to hurt Alice. The stuff with Tayo just happened. I was going through a phase where I didnt care who I slept with. I was no different than Andie. I just got involved with the wrong girl. She was very amused with Zo and Carmens conversation. Have you been to Milk or Velvets before? Zo asked Carmen, who was leaning towards Zo. Ive D.J.d at Milk before. Carmen answered. Andie looked at Alice, they both thought it was hilarious that Zo wasnt catching on that Carmen was indeed into women. Maybe it was because Carmen was flirting with Zo subtly. Have you just gone there to hang out? Zo was really grabbing at anything she could to get the feel of this girl. Alice rolled her eyes and blurted before Carmen could answer. Jesus! Carmen what shes trying to ask is, are you a *****? Andie laughed loudly. Carmen smirked and winked at Alice. ***** Al! Zo glared at her. No, no its totally cool and yes I am a *****. Carmen grinned at Zo. I thought you were catching on. I guess my hang over is Zo said. Diluting your gaydar? Alice laughed. They all laughed except for Zo who bit her lip hard. Listen, Ive got to go. Carmen stood up, Zo looked up at her and a beautiful playful smile came across her face. Ill see you tomorrow at the show. Want to hang out afterwards, Zo? Yes, definitely. Zo grinned. Cool. Bye ladies. Carmen nodded at Andie and Alice. They watched her leave then Zo turned around to look at Alice. She threw her straw at Alice as hard as she could. *****! Zo grumbled. Hey. I just got that hot mama to admit shes a lady lover. You should be thanking me. Alice chirped. Oh, give me a break. Zo said dully. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tarin and Shane were walking towards the Planet. Tarins hair was in soft curls down her back. Light copper highlights shined in the sun. Shane made sure that they werent standing to close to one another as they walked. They were silent for most of the walk. Shane cleared her throat. Look, Tarin about last night. That cant and will not happen again. Tarin didnt say anything she just kept walking. If Andie ever thought something was going on. I just cant lose her. She means so much to me. Im sure you thought it was a mistake, too. You wouldnt hurt Andie. Shane spoke hopefully. I didnt think it was a mistake. Tarin said simply, walking closer to the Planet. As they passed a window, they saw Zo, Alice and Andie. Shane waved and smiled at the ladies. They waved back, but when they saw Tarin walking on the other side of Shane their expressions changed. Andies face had a confused look; Alice and Zo seemed surprised and then concerned. Zos eyebrow cocked up as Shane and Tarin walked closer to the door. Shane stopped and looked at Tarin. Seriously, nothing like that will happen again. I wont hurt Andie. I love her. Shane said. Tarin looked unconvinced. Have you told her about last night? No, but Dont you think if you truly loved her, you would have told her? Tarin said cutting Shane off. Shane looked at Tarin amazed at what Tarin had said, but even more that Shane had admitted her love for Andie to someone. Thats what I thought. Tarin shook her head going into the Planet, with Shane soon following her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Shane sat down next to Andie kissing her cheek. She smiled at Shane taking her hand. Tarin pulled up a chair next to Zo, who gave her a look that was harsh. Tarin pretended not to see it. Did you do something different to you hair? Andie asked Tarin. I thought that all of you ladies had great haircuts and then decided that I would have Miss Shane do mine, too. Do you like it? Tarin said striking a pose. Zo and Andie nodded. Yeah, it looks great. Good job Shane. Alice said. Thanks. Shane said quietly. She surprised me. So, where are Dana and the others? Im not sure. Alice said trying to contain the news of Tonya and Dana to herself. Andie looked like she finally remembered something. Hey. I have some news. I cant believe that I forgot. Brody Dalle called last night; she wants us to open for the Distillers shows here next month. If all goes well, she might ask us to tour with them longer, going up and down the coast. I havent answered her yet, so the whole band could decide. Andie grinned at Zo. Zo jumped out of her chair yelling, ***** yeah! Oh my god! Everyone in the Planet looked over at their table, while the ladies laughed. I guess that means Zos in. Shane chuckled. Thats great you two! Congratulations! Tarin said. Im sure theyll want you guys to tour the coast with them. Brody said it would be more than likely that they would want us. She has another band she was talking with first. Andie smiled. Shane knew that she was not as excited about everything like Zo. She squeezed her hand reassuringly, while Tarin seemed to notice the same. Whos the other band? Alice asked. The Tattletales. Their an all girls punk band. Andie answered. Youll beat em. Alice said. Of course we will. Zo spoke up. Shh, dont jinx us. I wonder what Darius and Samson will think. Andie shook her head at Zo. Ill be right back. I need to use the restroom. Tarin got up and walked back to the bathroom, leaving the table as Zo put her arms in the air letting out excited whoops and yeahs. When Tarin got into the restroom she looked under each stall making sure no one was in there. When she was satisfied she pulled out her cell phone and a little blue number book from her purse. Tarin looked at a number and punched it in. She waited for a few rings and then someone answered. Hello, is Tony in? Tony, hey its Tarin. Yeah, its been awhile. Im good and you? pause. Listen, Tony I heard you guys might be touring with the Tattletales. Pause. Yeah, I wanted to talk to you about them. It might not be the best idea for you guys.
