    Speak True, Ch. 2

    Chapter 2

Arriving at the hospital, Bette sat in her parked car.   She prepared herself to see the woman that she adored yet had hurt immeasurably just the night before.  Taking one last deep breath, she slowly reached for the door handle and promised herself everything would be all right.

Her eyes swollen and puffy, she made her way to the nurses station.

The nurse glanced up from her computer screen.

    “May I help you?”

“I’m looking for Tina Kennard.  She was brought in by ambulance last night.  Dr. Mabry called me.  I’m her wife, Bette Porter.”

    The nurse checked her paperwork.

“The doctor has approved you to see her” pointing to her left she continued, “Through those doors, third room on the left, number 212.”

Without another word Bette was on her way.  Bracing herself to face Tina again she proceeded down the hall.

Bette walked quickly to room 212.   She approached and peered in the door.  The room was darkened, curtains closed.  The monitors keeping their steady beat reassured Bette, that at least for now, Tina was maintaining.  Tina was lying peacefully on the bed, eyes closed.   Bette was surprised to find herself in awe of Tina’s beauty, even in this situation.  Tina could always take her breath away.   As Bette moved closer she noticed some visible bruising above Tina’s left eye and forearms.  She cringed at the thought that she was the catalyst to Tina being in this condition.

Before she could reach the bedside, a figure appeared behind her in the doorway.

    “Bette Porter?” the man asked.

“Yes?” Bette replied, turning around slowly, not wanting to take her eyes off of Tina.

The man stepped forward and extended his hand, “I’m Dr. Mabry.  We spoke earlier.”

“How is she?” Bette said nodding in Tina’s direction

“She is actually remarkably well.  However, because she came in with head trauma and unconscious, we kept her in the ICU for observation overnight.  I will be recommending that she be transferred to a standard room in a few hours.  Have you talked with her?”

“No, I just got here and didn’t want to wake her.  Tell me about her condition.”

    1. OHHHH NO BETTE U BETTER DON’T GO THERE!!!!!! ‘Cause when the truth comes out u won’t be able to get out of that one…. in fact it maybe worse!!!!!!!

    2. Screwing up like that and having a situation where the other person for whatever reason can’t presently remember sounds like a break, but its not right. Karma always comes back. Once Tina’s a bit better, Bette needs to figure the right time to slowly remind Tina why she was out driving around and upset in the first place. Bette being open and honest with Tina was always a problem, no time like the present to at least try and make it right.

    3. such a dilemma for bette to decide. should she tell tina or not? i say tell her but wait a little until she is feeling better. what goes around comes around – not telling is the smae as lying.

    4. Don´t worry about where your story is going…hell I don´t know where my story is heading as well…I just come up with it and write it down.

Back to the story…wonderful update..this is going to be interesting..is Bette going to tell Tina or is she going to be silent??? Post soon

    5. I like the story – keep up the great writing. I gotta say though – Bette had better not hide it. Tina can get her memory back and then a whole other can of worms is going to explode open!

    6. Hmm not if bette changes who she is while Tina doesnt remember so when she does eventually remember Tina’s love for her will be stronger and able to withstand the strain of the memory….But hey who knows, you have proposed a very interesting dilemma surrounding love and morality…

    7. Ok I’m gonna go against the crowd and say HIDE IT HIDE IT HIDE IT! Yes, once T finds out, (which she will!) she’ll dump her ass, but thats gonna happen even if shes honest immediatly, so she might as well spend as much time with T as she possibly can

    8. I think Bette should be honest with Tina; this shit could come back to haunt her becaue she is assuming that Tina didnt talk to anyone when she left that night.

    9. Wow..”what tangle web we weave when we first learn to decieve.” I’m fifty on this situation..I say, atleast for now, Bette does not say anything, it might cause tina more head trauma, wait until she is stronger or maybe not!! Please Please continue

    10. Bette, stop and think about it, you were considering the idea of lying to Tina AGAIN?!?!

This looks more like a test than a chance. Just open your eyes.

    11. Bette needs to tell her. Maybe not in the hospital but soon. Tina will respect that more even if she becomes angry again. Maybe not just run out..let’s don’t forget Tina played a part in the relationship failing.

    12. ok so here’s the plan, don’t tell her and just go with it and if she remembers drop her like she’s hot
OH wait this is Bette and Tina cancel that plan.

I say wait a bit you know until she builds her strenght back up and then have a sit down, and hope like hell candyass doesn’t show up before that.

    13. Well I think Bette should get rid of Candace and be honest with Tina about the affair but wait until Tina get better and tell her. This is very interesting and excited, please post soon, thanks!
