Chapter 4
Bette looked down at the watch, she wasn’t too late. It was hours ago that she left Alice to finish up the Harris deal. She felt weary but for the life of her could not understand why. Everything had gone off like clockwork today. She should be flying on a high that such an accomplishment brings but she wasn’t. She didn’t feel bad but she didn’t feel ecstatic either. Shaking her head Bette tries to push away her gloom and get herself into the party mood for she was arriving at the penthouse suites of the Regency Hotel.
This was the hotel Bette’s been renting for the duration of the time it took for the Harris deal to become complete. The suite had a large living room area, a mini kitchen that doubled as the bar and three attached bedrooms. There was also access to the roof patio with its hot tub. Smiling at the thought, Bette had put the tub to use a few times during her stay here. She knew from previous victorious deals that the suite was definitely by now converted to the post-deal success party. One of the more humorous aspects of having Alice work for her was that Alice took full responsibility for making these kinds of celebrations happen complete with girls, girls and more girls. She must think it’s in her job description or something.
By now these spectacles were becoming old hat for Bette. Lots of flair and noise, revolving doors of drink and merriment that’s long ago lost its thrill and excitement. Bette used to really enjoy this piece of the trophy but now they were little more of the same old same old. Different faces and food but same end game and results.
Bette frowned at the thought. A lot of things in Bette’s life were becoming a lot more of the same. The deal today should have her on cloud nine but instead she left the meeting this morning and just drove around for a while before settling back to their makeshift offices to begin more research on a few other deals she has in the works. Bette always has at least five or six projects on the move at any one time. At first winning a deal like today would give her a large enough high that she would be happy for weeks and weeks. Soon that thrill only lasted for days and now it was just minutes. Another deal, another win, another mark on her belt, time for Bette to move on.

Dang, that was awesome. Even in male form Bette is as awesome as we know her and to have found the love of her life so long ago and a bond that will always travel through time and lives with her. That is an awesome connection. A very interesting premise. If only. Great update. Thanks.
Woooooo!!! Magnificient this story is. The love between them was so well discribe that I did not mind bette is a man. Beautiful it was.I can’t wait to see what is happening next with Bette planning to buy something in Los Angeles? Tina needs to be brought up in to put Bette personal life in order, Because that is not a way for a lady to behave and/or treat women. Thank you for this great story.

Wow, that was very well written NC17 ;Din the first part I felt Bette’s emptiness and cruleness in that life, and ofcaurse this is because her Tina not yet showen. But in the second one Bette was his gentle loving self with his beautiful Tina. thanks for this chapter, but what happened to Tina in university? and thanks for ur shout :)
Wow Jwet….!! The stories of the present Bette is kinda sad, though so successful she’s so lonely, and not so enjoying life. The story of the past, well… Makes me speechless.. You wrote it so amazingly beautiful and lovely, and I can feel and imagining how their connection is simply made forever for each other… So sweet!! :-) and… So you have 600pages of stuff already and … Wow! Wow! I’m so excited and thrilled to know it! :-D lol… Thanks for writing and sharing your marvelous story!! I am more grateful to know how long you have been writing this! Kudos to you!! I just got caught up with the last two chapters. This is beautifully written. Tina and Bette in the past are both health, well balanced people so it’s easy for them to fall in love with each other quickly. I can’t wait to see what happens when the contemporary Bette and Tina meet. Tina seems to be pretty solid but Bette is a mess! They won’t be kindred souls meeting this time around. Maybe it will be more like opposites attracting. :)
