    SOMETHING SO RIGHT

     

    Chapter Six

     

    Bette took off her helmet and waited for Tina to stop her go-kart beside hers. It had been a crazy but great fun evening. Tina had taken her go-karting and slapped $50 down as the bet for which of them came out top after two hours. They had been given a brief ten minute lesson on safety tips and after a couple of trial laps while they both got used to the steering they had been ready to start. Bette had been laughing so hard that her sides were aching. Tina lifted her helmet off her head and shook her long blonde hair free

     

    “You okay ?”

    Bette nodded “ That was great Tina – I think our time is up “

    “Pity – do you want another hour or are you hungry ?”

    “I’m starving “

     

    Tina nodded “Okay – lets put these back and find out what our times were “

     

    Tina drove off and parked her kart and climbed out. Bette lingered back to watch her girlfriend. Bette had laughed more in that two hour spell than six months worth of Friday nights in Liquid – who would have thought that go-karting would be so much fun ? Or that the sophisticated and reserved Bette Porter would have enjoyed herself so much ?Bette looked at Tina – God this woman was special – it took a very special person to make Bette laugh so hard.

     

    If you are not careful Porter you are going to fall totally for her. What do you mean GOING to fall ? Face facts Bette -you have already fallen for her -and why not – look at that ass and that amazingly sweet smile – just face the truth YOU HAVE FALLEN FOR HER.

     

    Tina looked back and gestured for Bette to join her – Bette steered the kart to its docking bay and climbed out and handed her helmet back to the attendant. Bette stretched her limbs and walked across to Tina who was holding a piece of paper.

     

    “What’s that ? “

    “Proof “

     

    “Of ?”

     

    “I was one minute 28 seconds faster than you over twenty laps – so that was the deciding race so you owe me Porter “

    2. I love this Tina, she really knows how to have fun!! go karts are cool, seafood yuck,lol… but the company is great!!! love how bette is so understanding and patience! nice update!!!!!!:)

    3. What’s a hypermarket and where is Bette supposed to get a 50 pound note? OK, so Tina’s up to a one-armed hug. After 2 weeks. I’m not so sure that I really believe Tina when she keeps saying how sure she is and how right it feels.

    4. I am enjoying this story. They are good together. I hope Helena or Alice don’t ruin it for them.I was quite the opposite of Tina in this story but then again some people need to ease into it.

    11. Go karts? Seafood? Sweet date. I like how Bette is being really patient..and letting Tina go at her own pace. Tina should tell Dana though.. because she would be understanding and you have to start somewhere. PPS.
