    *Something New*

“Tina I don’t think that I can do this anymore.”

    “What are you talking about?”

“I’ve never loved someone so much you can ask anyone I know. I love you so much, and it hurts that I don’t get to see you every day. I don’t want this to end but I’m tired of playing this game.”

“Wait what are you talking about? I thought we agreed, wait…… you love me?” Tina was a little stunned of Bette’s confession.

Bette was also a little surprised too but she meant it.

“Of course I do, don’t you see that? I’d do anything for you. Out of no where I fell so in love with you. I was lost when I first met you and now it’s different I’m a different person. I just can’t do this anymore and I know you’re not ready for us.”

    “Bette wait I don’t……”

    “You don’t what Tina?”

She didn’t know what to say, she didn’t want the last day they spent together to end with them fighting. She just kept quiet.

“I’m sorry T, it’s just that I want to wake up to your beautiful face in the morning, cook dinner for you and watch you pretend that you like it,” they both smirk a little, “ I want to go to the beach anytime we want, hold your hand and watch the sunset. I just want us to be together.”

Still Tina didn’t know what to say because she knew she couldn’t make any commitments or promises even when she knew she felt the same way for Bette.

“Well I guess that’s that,” she picked up her luggage, “Just know that I will always love you even if you didn’t feel the same for me. Please understand that I can’t see or talk to you anymore,” she walks to the door and grabs the handle and waits for a response with a tear running down her cheek, but there was just silence, “I’ve got a plane to catch. Bye Tina.” She walks out.

Tina just stood there trying to process what had just happened.

“I guess you’re right I’m not ready for us.” It broke her heart.
