“Hello in there… I know you haven’t heard my voice that much, but I am your other mama.”

Bette looked up at Tina to see how she was doing so far. “How am I doing?”

Tina laughed, “You’re doing great.”

“What do I say to her?” Bette asked.

“Say whatever you want. Tell her how excited you are to meet her and how much you love her.”

“I do,” Bette redirected her voice to Tina’s belly, “I do love you very much already… I just want you to know that your Mommy and I have been through a tough time these past few months, and that is why you may not recognize my voice. I made a big mistake, but I am working to make it better, and I promise you, no matter what happens I will always love you very much.”

Bette looked up at Tina, “I think this would be a little easier if I could see your stomach. Can I see it?”

“You want me to pull up my shirt?” Tina asked.

“Only if you feel comfortable…”

“No, no… I do… okay…” Tina pulled her cotton maternity shirt up over the swell of her stomach so it bunch right under her *****.

Bette couldn’t believe her eyes.

“It’s huge isn’t it?” Tina giggled.

“No, no… I mean… well… yeah it is big, but it is just so amazing.” Bette said,

“Look at your little belly button, it is flat.” Bette brushed one of her finger tips over the smooth little divot.

Tina enjoyed the feel of Bette’s skin against her’s. “Yep… it kind of poked out a little bit at first… but now it is just stretched beyond repair.” Tina sighed.

“It is really cute, Tee.”

“Thank you…” Tina really didn’t know what to say. It was nice to have Bette so enamored with her body.

“So anyway, as I was saying,” Bette looked back down at Tina’s stomach, “I made a mistake, but I am going to work really hard at making it better so you and your Mommy and I can be a family okay?” Bette felt tears forming in her eyes. “And once you get here I am gonna hold you and kiss you, and I will change your diapers and get up whenever you cry in the middle of the night.”

Bette felt Tina move to get up, “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, I just wanted to get a pen and paper and write that one down.” Tina laughed.

“Sit back down…” Bette laughed. “You hear that little girl? Your Mommy thinks she is funny.”

Bette leaned over and kissed Tina’s belly lightly. She peppered small kisses around in a circle, before moving up to place one on what was left of Tina’s belly button. Bette kissed her way up from Tina’s belly button to the soft, tight skin right under her *****. Her motivation changed from kissing the baby, to kissing Tina.

Tina felt the change and sighed, bringing her hands down to run her fingers through Bette’s hair.
