Bette arms encircled Tina, bringing her in closer as their lips continued the ferocious dual, they had been kissing for last half hour, ever since Bette had walked out of the bedroom following their dinner and the change out of the business suit.
She had seen Tina sitting comfortably on the sofa, her legs outstretched as she lent back and began to watch tv.
Bette had joined her, lifting Tina’s legs over her lap as she leaned into to place her lips against Tina’s, and that is where they had stayed for the last half hour, little kisses, big kisses, tasting, probing, in the comfort of their own home, on their sofa, in each others arms…
Tina opened her eyes as her ears alerted her to a familiar tune, her eyes turned toward the tv as her lips continued to be joined.
“Mmmm… Bette…?” Tina broke the kiss as her head turned slightly toward the tv.
“Mmmm babe…”
“You know what’s on?”
“No… tell me…”
“The really, really sexy welder…”
“Alex Owens…?”
“The one and only, you know… she reminds me of someone I know…”
Bette smirked, knowing every time Tina watched this movie, she said exactly the same thing, she also knew that it would be pointless to try and continue with the make out session when she had to compete with Tina’s favourite pin up of Alex Owens in the torn grey sweatshirt.
“T…?”
Tina momentarily broke her eye contact with the tv as she heard her name.
“You want a cuppa?”
Tina coyly looked to her girlfriend and nodded.
Bette smiled, leaned over to place a delicate kiss on Tina’s lips as she got up and went to the kitchen.
“Bette…" Tina called from the sofa, "…can you bring in the cookies too?”

I recently watched this movie thinking, “OMG this is gonna suck,” but it was actually pretty good. Even better, they weren’t in a Canadian wannabe version of Pittsburgh, PA, for filming. I don’t get the cookie jar thing though. O.o

Yeah, I miss the cookie jar ref, too! Cute, cute, once again! It’s clever how you bring in the connection from past to present JB. That movie is currently playing on cable, so I’ll have to refresh myself since I only saw it when it first came out.

Despite the fact I had Jennifer Beals staring at me in her big sweatshirt at every intersection in midtown Manhattan back in the day, I’ve never seen the whole film. I did catch the end once (including the drizzly dance). I think I keep kissing the grown up Bette Porter rather than watch the damp body double. Well,there’s just no accounting for taste, although I like cookies, too.
what a feeling indeed, and i have to try and guess what some of the british words mean, i guess i have to read more british literature to understand LOL…poor bette, she can’t compete with alex, even though i think that JB is much hotter now then when she was 18

Ahhhh what a feeling to read these snippets…..as long a post or movie as something to do with JB I’m happy :o)) I actually bought the movie the other day, I hope to see her dance like that one day on L-word!!!!
