Alexa floated into work on a cloud.  She had kissed Helena, she had touched Helena, she may do that and more again tonight with Helena.  For a second she grew anxious, she had never been with a woman, before, did Helena know that?  Would she know how to do everything right?  An image flashed in her mind of touching HEHelena in the lift, how it felt so good, so natural and she didn’t feel so nervous anymore.  Besides Helena might only have dinner in mind, god she hoped not!

‘Alexa you’re first up,’ said the consultant.

‘Oh right,’ said Alexa and scrambled to attention.

‘How did you get on with your assessment?’ asked Jayne when Alexa returned home for lunch still on a high.

‘Oh, really good,’ said Alexa, ‘All signed off.’

‘Really I know Dr Hanson likes to freak people out and fail a lot of people.’

Alexa shrugged.  ‘I didn’t notice. I sort of forgot he was there whilst I was doing it.’

‘How are you not in bed now, having worked all night with no sleep?’ asked Jayne.

Alexa smiled, she’d slept better than she had in years.

‘Oh the night was great, really interesting, has me buzzing,’ said Alexa truthfully, ‘In fact I’m going in again tonight.’

‘All night, again?’ exclaimed Jayne.

‘I think so,’ she said, ‘I’ll see how the evening progresses.’

‘An alien has come in and taking over your body I swear!’ said Jayne.

‘Maybe, maybe’ agreed Alexa happily.

Helena handed Alexa a rose and kissed her softly the second she got in the car.  ‘I’ve been waiting to do that all day,’ she admitted.

Alexa smiled and leant in to kiss Helena again, wondering to herself again why she felt so natural in Helena’s company, why she didn’t feel out of her depth because she didn’t she felt safe, excited, loved..woah she shouldn’t let that word slip in, those were the rules they had agreed to play by.

‘You look amazing,’ said Alexa, smiling against Helena’s lips. It was the first time she had seen Helena in a dress and this short black number, showed her long, tanned legs to full effect.

‘Thank you, I’m rather enjoying your choice of clothing myself,’ said Helena, admiring Alexa’s purple dress with its plunging neckline.  ‘Where are we going?’ asked Alexa to stop herself getting lost in Helena’s eyes.
