Chapter 9
Yale – 1996
“Good morning my friend, how did the essay go last night? Did you finish it?” Tina was clearly in a good mood.
“What the hell happened to you?”
“Oh my… aren’t we grumpy this fine morning?”
“What’s with the accent?” Bette thought about it for a moment. “Ohhh I see” she quickly added with a mischievous smile.
“No… no… it’s not what you think!” Tina added blushing.
“Someone got laid last night… good for you. What’s his name?”
“I didn’t and he’s Brian”
“Awww… sweet little Brian, I hope he does better than Joshua” Bette’s stomach made a flop at that moment. What the fuck is wrong with me? She thought to herself.
“Aren’t you hilarious in the mornings? And for the second time… and read my lips this time… nothing… happened… last… night!”
“Yeah… sure… cause your face and your happy mood don’t scream “I just got some” right?” Bette’s stomach made another flop bringing her even more confusion.
“Oh God give me patience” Tina exclaimed looking at the ceiling of the cafeteria and then covering her eyes with her hand, resting the weight of her head on her elbow that was on the table.
After not hearing any smart ass replies from the other side of the table she got concerned.
“Bette are you ok?” She asked uncovering her eyes.
Bette was pensive, so absorbed by her previous reactions that she had not listened to Tina.
“Earth to Bette?” Tina repeated herself, this time snapping her fingers right in front of Bette’s face.
“What?” Bette was suddenly brought back to reality.
“Ahhhh sorry but I think you were in trance again”
“Very funny… you know… even though I would love to stay… I have to finish the essay I couldn’t finish last night… besides it’s too early in the morning to hang out with a person who is in… happy after sex mood… see you later”
And with that Bette got up and left, leaving Tina at a loss of words from such disruption.
Jesus what was that all about? Tina is my friend for Christ’s sake! What am I doing?

So, Tina is either straight or bisexual, since she went out with Brian and now in the room with Julia, who is now the same woman that is marrying Bette, wich sucks and is wrong, because if she was Tina’s best friend, she would have known how Tina felt about Bette.

although it is not a real cliff hanger… yet… it feels like it… your story really keep us coming back for more. Why was Tina hiding away from Bette in her room? How is Tina going to talk to Bette? PPS… pretty please.
