Bette’s mother kisses her on the forhead and exits the kitchen…She turns back and says…
Mom: “Elizabeth, Katey’s in town”
Bette: “Kit’s here”
Mom: “yeah…I think she’s staying at the holiday inn…her number is on the table…”
Bette: “thanks”
Bette turns and looks at the number scribbled across the lined paper…She looks the number over and picks up the phone…She calls her half sister Kit…

Upstate New York…Bette’s parent’s house…
Kit: “hello”
Bette: “hey Kit…it’s Bette”
Kit: “oh my god…long time no see or speaking to you ms. thang…how are you?”
Bette: “I’m good…how about you?…how’s David?”
Kit: “I’m good and he’s ok…so where are you?”
Bette: “I’m at my mother’s…I’m gonna be here for a while”
Kit: “me too…I’ll be here for the rest of the week…so what’s been happening anything new?”
Bette: “no…well yes…I am dating at the moment”
Kit: “who?”
Bette: “this woman back home named Tina”
Kit: “ok…ok…what kind of work does she do?”
Bette: “well she’s a cop for lapd”
Kit: “get the ***** out of here…you’re serious?”
Bette: “as a heart attack…she’s a good girl…I’m glad I found her…hey maybe you’ll get a chance to meet her if she comes down”
Kit: ” I would love that…so what are you getting into tonight?”
Bette: “nothing…I was gonna spend sometime with my mother and then find out if my girlfriend is coming down or not…”
Kit: “ok well ah…what about tomorrow night?”
Bette: “now your talking…maybe we can go to the club and grab a cold one and hang out…it’s been a while”
Kit: “sure I’m up to it…what time are you going to see daddy tomorrow?”
Bette: “I’m not sure…probably around 11 a.m. or when mama gets up we’re go…”
Kit: “well when your done…give me a call…we’ll do something”
Bette: “ok well it was nice chatting with you”
Kit: “the same here….”
Bette: “I’ll call you tomorrow”
Kit: “do that…bye”
Bette: “bye”
Bette ends the call…She smiles at the thought of everyone wanting to meet Tina…Well except for her dad and his absence was spoken for…But whether he wants to see her or not wouldn’t matter to the brunette because she didn’t care…She loved her father but she hated his ways…He could be very cruel at times but no matter what she loved him and respected him…Veronica comes creeping in…Bette stands and watches her teenage sister silently close the door making sure not to make any noise…

I have to tell you..i read all 16 chapters last night at work… and i loved every one of them… just so that you know i can’t comment at work… but i will be reading when ever you post… and my next project will be to go back and start your other story… so glad i found this one… love that bette is waiting for tina… and that tina is coming to be with her… so please continue… would also love to know what the code is all about… so i do hope you have bette explain it … later…
