Safe in each other’s arms…Chapter four
After the Grand Palace they visited Jim Thompson’s house. They got a guide, who spoke English very well so they at least understood what was told. They admired the paintings and statues in the house and simply loved the style the house was built in. The wood that was used was a very dark brown wood, they didn’t catch the name of the wood, but were still very impressed by the house. A man asked the guide were the chandeliers came from and she told him they were from Belgium. Bette and Tina chuckled at the same time and shared a soft kiss. They continued walking through the house hand in hand, loving each other’s company and soft intimate touch. When the tour was over, they walked in the garden for a while, admiring the beautiful flowers by the little pond. There were small fountains and they decided to take a picture of them standing in front of the pond. Tina threw her hands around Bette’s neck and smiled at the camera while Bette took their picture. The second picture was a picture of them sharing an intimate kiss. Tina was glad they took their camera with them, she had already taken tons of pictures of her and Bette and the beautiful things here in Thailand. They were feeling a little bit hungry, so they decided to eat in the Jim Thompson Restaurant. They shared a nice meal and were once again stunned by the quality of the food and service.
They decided they would spend the rest of the afternoon shopping. They searched for a taxi, which was not too hard, and asked the driver to bring them to the shopping center. He asked them which one. Apparently there were lots of shopping centers here in Bangkok, so they decided to go to the one that was nearest by, shopping center MTK. They paid the man 200 Baht and entered the immense building. There were millions of people walking past them and they felt like little ants.
Tina: “God Bette, look at all these people here.”
Bette: “And look at all the stores. This is just to crazy for words.”
Tina: “Look, a jewelry store. Let’s go check it out.”
Tina grabbed Bette’s hand and pulled her towards the jewelry store. They looked at all the rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings and watches and were surprised by how real everything looked.
Tina: “If I didn’t knew this was fake, I would have never guessed it.”
Bette: “Yeah, they sure did a great job. Is there something you like T?”
Tina: “I like this bracelet.”
Tina pointed out a silver bracelet from Dior, very nice but also very expensive. Bette bargained with the woman behind the counter for a while, till they came to an agreement. Bette bought Tina the bracelet for a price of 900 Baht and put it on her.
Tina: “Thanks baby, you really shouldn’t have.”
Bette: “Anything for you, my love.”
Tina: “Come here you.”
Tina pulled Bette towards her and gave her a teasing but loving kiss. They strolled around the shops, walking hand in hand, their fingers intertwined, until it was 5 o’clock and they decided to turn back to the hotel.
