Reunions Reunite: The way we were, chapter 2
We sat there untill sundown, the lowering light, painting the sky in all colors imaginable, reminding me that inevitable time had come… I felt the wrenching in my chest, the worry about my mother… I had to go to the house that I called my home…
She must have felt me squirm in the sand, because she glanced aside… Again the force of her eyes, or of what laid behind them, struck me. She got up and stretched out her hands, and I felt tears well up again, touched by the way she understood me. The compassion and care in those eyes were almost palpable.
For a moment we just stood there, and suddenly my fear jumped up again, a vague mixed feeling of discomfort about taking all her free time, and afraid to feel awkward the next time I would see her.
Will you be allright?
Her voice was hoarse, gentle, shy even, and with a shock i realized it was the first time I heard her speak.
Why is it that, when regarding questions about how we are, we are expected to lie? We are always fine, great, couldn’t be better.. Laughs as fake bubles that would always shatter, because it is common knowledge that we are not at all ‘fine’… But noone cares to dig behind those words, because if we would have to look behind all those layers of ‘fine’, we would actually have to get to know someone, allow someone close, be close to that person, and why on earthwould we want anything that scary?
Sure, Ill be fine…
I looked away from her, at once vulnurable under her stare.
I’m not buying
Soft fingertips under my chin, forcing me to look into those eyes… Her voice still hoarse as if she had to get used to using it…
She had done it… She cared to peel away the layers I had build around my soul, and at that moment, I had no idea how much and even how fast she would succeed.
At once I grasped it, the surface of that unnameable connection I had seen lingering in her eyes… I saw she knew, and understood pain, and, oblivious to the fact that I would feel it again and again in her presence, I was amazed by the sensation as if we were from the same country, or even planet… The only two aliens in a city, incredibly thankfull to have found someone to communicate with, someone who speaks you language…

It took me forever to get through the chapter. 1.) It was tough. Nothing light and fluffy about it. A great chapter as always, but still tough and 2.) I got held up chatting with someone. LMAO Two shitty men in Tina’s life. =( PPS!
Very intense. Quite the connection between B&T as always. Waiting for the next post.
Wow…the chapter certainly was a hard one to read due to it’s nature. However, it was perfectly written and well done!! Again…got me hooked! Have a good one!
this was heavy…but a wonderful connection between B&T…i hope they can heal each other from whatever happened in those 13 years
Excellent writing as usual. Very descriptive and VERY moving. It can take alot out of a writer when delving into areas of life that are so dark and deep. Thank you for sharing your talent and for putting as much time in as you do to prepare a fabulous piece of work. BRAVO! Oh yeah, and MORE!!!! :-)))
whoa!!!!!!!!!!! great work
The hurt that Tina felt due to her father must have been unbearable. To watch her mother go through what she did and know that there was really nothing that she could do to help her mother must have been very painful. Then to have the one person that could take that pain away even if it was for a few seconds to be there to catch you helps to make one continue to move forward in the walk of life. Both are sorry about something and I wonder if they can put that aside and rebuild their friendship. Of course their relationship is more than just friendship.
Damn this is so good. Sad for Tina, is hurt to see that happen to Tina, is good that Bette was there to comforting her.Don’t know what happen that they are not see or be with each other but hope now its time for B&T have a start and a happy life together. Ok post soon please, thanks!
wow… just wow… ;)
Oh, I love this…pls don’t stop there!!!
You did such an amazing job of balancing the really hard to read with the absolutely breathtakingly wonderful bits. The connection between the two of them is amazing, and I LOVE how you’re setting this up. Fantastic, as always!

Excellent chapter per usual hun!! I guess thats what i love about your writing, no matter what the content, sad or happy the emotion is so very strong.. Can’t wait for more (per usual) :)
what? what? Huh? What are they sorry for? Have I missed out some chapters? haha… Oh JLBT… this is so intense. STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!! I wish to be there for Tina too when that horrible thing happened. So that Tina wouldn’t be living in guilt and blame herself over her father’s faults. Anyway, I love this chapter and will forever amazed by your writing :D
Everytime I think you could not blow me away even more, you do to a degree that I could have never imagined… OMG J, that was… well, there you go, I can’t even find the words… I don’t know how you manage, but this is just … so… intense! The drama that draw them together, making the connection that more precious and peculiar… Wow! I wish I could say more, but seriously I don’t think I would do justice to my real feelings after reading this… Thanks PIC!
