“They’re waiting for us at the restaurant.” Shane opened the door for her friend. “Shall we go meet our dates?”

Alice nodded and smiled. “Yes,” she climbed into the Jeep and closed the door. Shane walked over to the other side and climbed in.

“Let’s go have ourselves a great time.” Shane started up the vehicle and pulled away from the apartment complex.

            Alice walked in behind Shane as they walked into the restaurant. She rubbed her sweaty hands together as she stopped in the middle of the restaurant. Shane turned around and saw that Alice wasn’t behind her. She walked back and found her friend. She touched her arm and looked at her.

“What’s wrong?”

Alice shook her head. “I don’t know if I can do this. I don’t think I’m ready. It’s too soon Shane.” Shane reached down and grabbed Alice’s hand.

“Al—everything’s going to be okay. We’re going to have a great time. I know it. Just meet her and let her in. Don’t be mean or depressing, just enjoy yourself and have fun okay. Please, I promise you that you will have a great time. I will not let you down on this.” Alice looked at Shane and nodded.

“O-okay. Okay, I’ll do it. Let’s do it.” Shane smiled and began to walk with Alice behind her. They approached the table, and Carmen and Alice’s date stood up. Shane walked over to Carmen and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Alice stood there and stared at her date. The woman that stood before Alice had black hair with soft red streaks, her mocha-skin look creamy and smooth against the her white blouse that went down to a v-neck, showing off her full cleavage. Her long legs appeared from under her mini skirt and her black heels made her stand a couple inches taller than Alice. Her bright green eyes sparkled throughout the dim light restaurant. She smiled brightly as she held out her hand.

“Hi, I’m Krista.” Alice continued to stare at the beautiful woman in front of her. Shane nudged her, and Alice snapped out of it.

“I-I’m Alice. Nice to meet you,” Alice shook her hand, and Krista chuckled softly.
