    Before this meeting ended, Helena would know she loved her. She loved her then and now.

    Part 12

    Helena sat in her office at Buzz the morning after the party calculating the outstanding balance from the night before. The party was hugely successful. The liquor bar went well beyond what was expected and the balance needed to be settled. Tasha would have normally settled it, but she left the party early to do some settling of her own. As she prepared the invoice for the studio, there was a knock on the door. One of the cooks poked his head through the door, “Helena, you have some flowers here.”

    He brought in large bouquet of exotic flowers. “How beautiful!” gushed Helena. As she searched for the card she wondered out loud. “Goodness, who are these from?” She suspected either the studio or possibly Dylan sent the flowers. She read the note on the gift card. “Congratulations on your party. It looked like big fun. Hope to see you soon. Raquel.” She was stunned to see it was from Raquel. She wondered. “How did she know?”

    So much had happened since her last night with Raquel. She touched her lips that were hot from the kiss she shared with Raquel. The song, “The girl from Ipanema”, began to run through her head again. She giggled when she realized the song was in her head. She smiled and picked up her cell phone. She scrolled though and found the phone number that Raquel had put in there after the first night they were together.

    After a few rings Raquel picked up the phone, “Ola!”

    “Hello Raquel, this is Helena.”

    Raquel was still in Italy at a late night shoot. She beamed brightly at hearing Helena’s voice. "Yes Eliana. Helena, how are you? Did you get my flowers?”

    “I am fine. I am just looking at your beautiful bouquet.” Helena responded as twirled her hair around her finger and swiveled in her desk chair. Her pulse quickened at hearing Raquel’s voice. She could imagine the smile she heard in Raquel’s voice. Her Brazilian accent was more noticeable over the telephone.

    “Wow. It got there so quickly. I saw your party in the entertainment section of the news here and thought it was the least I could do. I looked for pictures of you but didn’t see any. There are lots of pictures of your ex though. How come no pictures of you? It looked like a great party.”

    1. I love how you complicated things even further by throwing in that conversation between Helena and Raquel. I do not envy Helena the decision she will have to make to go back to her past and the love of her life, or look to the future with a woman who has so much potential. I, myself, prefer Dylan and hope that Helena can forgive and begin to forge a new relationship with her. Whatever you decide will be brilliant.

    4. Fantastic chapter Squirl! I found myself thankful that I wasn’t experiencing Helena’s emotions – she is literally being pushed in so many directions it would be hard to think coherently. I am so anxious to see how Dylan explains her actions… I hope they hold merit because the two of these ladies were meant to have a connection.

    5. Wow this was great, so many emotions in one chapter. Helena needs to focuss on Dylan now and doesn’t need any distractions like this Raquel girl. Besides she should know better getting involved with this Raquel will have her hurt all over again and then she has no one else to blame but herself. Dylan i hope you got your things straight cause I have a feeling Hel’s isn’t going to make this one very easy. PPS

    7. Hope that Dylan can convince Helena that she loved her then and more now, Helena was hurt,but it made her grow up and become a better person. Helena is going to be quite hard on Dylan thanks

    8. I agree with you both that Dylan and Helena were hot together and that Ilene left you quite the conundrum in trying to explain Dylan’s behavior, something Ilene did next to nothing about. Of course Ilene had her characters morphing into unrecognizable creatures regularly at that point and/or just raised something to just drop it never to be mentioned again. So the field is open for you. Run with it!

    9. aawhhh hell U r leading us on. There I thought Hels had the feelings for Raquel and vice versa just for u to crash it with the soppy Dylan ‘in-love’ STILL mush!!! Lol. I am so obviously not a Dylan fan hun??!!! No not after she hurt my gyrl Hels so badly!!! Once a cheater/, always a cheater/liar is my experience. But hey, its your story, I’m sure u have it in you to convince me. PPS
