    Author Notes:

    Tina continues to have her issues and Bette is there for her all the way, despite her moment of control and the beginning of a nice romp in the pool….

    (Around 8 o’clock that night, the gang came over with drinks, food and music CDs. Angelica was already fast asleep and Bette and Tina put her in her crib, and closing the door behind her.)

    Tina: Look guys, we can’t have the music up too loud because Angie is asleep and the neighbors will bitch about us!

    Shane: Don’t worry, everything will be okay!

    Bette: Want a beer, babe?

    Tina: Sure thanks, sweetie!

    (Bette got herself and Tina a beer and then both sat down on the couch with Bette wrapping her arm affectionately around Tina, while Alice, Shane and Kit were gulping down their drinks and dancing to music from Pink, Gwen Stefani and Madonna.)

    Alice: Hey Porter, why aren’t you two dancing with us?

    Bette: We are too wrapped into ourselves to dance! (With that, Bette put hers and Tina’s beers down on the coffee table, then she took Tina in her arms and both began making out to drive Alice nuts. Alice shook her head, while Shane and Kit had wide grins across their faces.)

    Alice: You two are like rabbits in heat, so stop it!

    Kit: Aw leave em’ alone, it’s cute!

    Shane: Why don’t you get on top of Tina and show her whose boss, Bette! (Without taking her lips off of Tina, Bette got Tina on her back and got on top of her, still French kissing her like mad.)

    Shane: Alright, get down!!

    Tina (whispering in Bette’s ear): Should we be doing this, babe?

    Bette (still kissing Tina): I’m just doing it to rile Alice!

    Tina (pulling away from Bette): So you aren’t doing this because you are in love with me?

    Bette: Baby, I didn’t mean it like that, I was teasing Alice but you know that I am in love with you. (Tina felt very insecure at the moment and Bette could sense it. Bette got close to Tina and kissed her softly on the lips, and then she gazed at Tina.)

    Tina (pressing her forehead against Bette’s): I’m sorry, I just get insecure and I love you so fucking much!

    Bette: I love you so fucking much too and there is nothing to feel insecure about because my love for you is genuine. (Alice interrupted them by turning on a ballad by Madonna.)
