Shane has picked the kids up and they are finally alone.
Tina is seated on a pillow on the floor in front of the couch, Bette is seated on the couch with her legs on each side of Tina.
“You want to watch a movie or something?” Bette asks, running her fingers through Tina’s hair.
“No, talking and relaxing is all I want.” Tina replies and leans her head back a little.
Bette leans down and kiss her on the forehead.
“Any particular topic you want to talk about?” Bette asks, looking down on her.
“Us.” Tina replies.
“Okay.” Bette says, still playing with Tina’s hair.
There is a few moments of silence.
“I think that this month will be good for us… I feel that we’ve moved a little too fast.” Tina says and waits for Bette’s reaction to it.
“Oh.” Bette says and momentarily stops playing with the hair.
Tina turns and looks up at Bette.
“Hear me out?” Tina pleads softly. Bette nods. “We’ve done exactly the same as last time we got back together. I know that this time the circumstances is different, with Evan staying with us, but. I moved back in, I don’t want to fall into the same rhythm like last time. We lost touch after a short while. We didn’t date, we just became a married couple again. I don’t want that this time. I do want to marry you, don’t get me wrong, but not until next year or, the year after that. I want to be secure in our relationship, I want to be sure. I do feel that way now, but…” Tina says and is interrupted by Bette.
“You want to be certain that is for life!” Bette says and nods while she looks into Tina’s eyes.
“Do you not completely trust me yet?” Bette asks. “I’m sure, I’ve been sure since the first time I laid my eyes on you. I just got lost somewhere along the way… There’s no one else on this earth I rather want to spend my life with than you.” Bette says.
“Same with me. I just… Love isn’t always enough. If that was enough, I would have no doubts at all. Please understand, it’s not just you and me anymore, there’s Angelica to consider too.” Tina says and looks into Bette’s eyes as she put her hand on Bette’s lap.
