They wake in the middle of the night from Evan’s scream.
“I’ll go.” Tina says and rushes out of the bed, she grabs her robe and enters the bedroom where Evan is sleeping. He’s crying and sitting up in bed. Tina sits down next to him and lifts him into her arms.
“It’s okay sweetie. It’s only a bad dream.” Tina says and strokes his back to soothe him.
“Mommy, I want my mommy.” He cries.
“Oh I know sweetie, I know you do.” Tina whispers as she holds him close.
He cries for a little while until he’s falling asleep again. She carefully lays him down again and tucks him in. She sits by him for a few minutes before she walks back in with Bette.
Bette had stayed awake.
“How is he?” Bette asks as she snuggles close to Tina.
“He misses his mommy. It’s a lot for a 4 year old to loose his mother.” Tina says.
“Yeah. I know how he feel.” Bette says softly.
“Oh sorry babe, I didn’t think about that.” Tina says and kisses her forehead.
“It’s okay, I’m over it now. What I’m worried about is, what will happen when Martin is well enough to care for him. He’s pretty attached to you now. It will be traumatic for him to suddenly loose another mother figure, because you have been that.” Bette says.
“I know. I’ve been thinking about that too.” Tina replies.
Suddenly they hear the cries again, only this time it’s closer, they turn towards the door and sees Evan walking through it with one of Angelica’s teddy bears in his arm. He walks over to Tina’s side.
“Oh sweetie, come here.” Tina says and lifts him up and into the bed. She lays him down between her and Bette. Not long after he falls asleep. Tina put her arm over him, reaching for Bette’s hand. They falls asleep a little while after Evan.
The next morning Tina is taking Evan to see Martin again.
“So, Evan, are you exited about seeing you dad again?” Tina asks.
“I wanna stay with you.” Evan says.
“Don’t you wanna get to know your dad?” Tina ask.
“No.” He says.
“You have to, he wants to get to know you. He’s looking forward to see you again.” Tina says.

I know that Martin is Evan’s dad, but I sure do wish that Bette and Tina was his sole guardians, and Martin be the fatherly figure for him. Love this fic. More Bette and Evan interaction. He still seems alittel afraid or timid around her.
I still have a feeling somethings gonna happen. They need to put that in writing because if they don’t and something happens they are gonna get attatched to that kid and then a relative will come out the woodwork.
Bette love the little fellow,Tina is really more the Motherly figure and Bette the Strong type. Hope Evans and Bette needs to get closer together. They only have 6 days to do so. thanks

Wow, Bette and Tina have come a long way. The way that they are checking in with each other before agreeing to something. It is so nice to see them putting their life back together as lovers and mothers.
i agree with sky… but i also believe that martin is going to disappear… leaving evan with tina and bette… love this story…please continue
I agree that something NEEDS to be put into writing (a living will), and I also believe that there needs to be more bonding between Bette and Evan. The fact that Bette lost her mother when she was young could serve as a GREAT bonding point between Bette and Evan. I know that most (including myself ) would like to see Evan as a part of B&T’s family, but it is alos inprotant for Evan to have a strong and good male role model in his life and Martin could fill that bill. GREAT job Lauren PPS :o)

why do i get the feeling martin is about to run away and give b,t custody of evan. let martin be gone. angelica will have a brother ,this story is socool.
