The next morning Bette wakes up first, she does the morning routine and then she get Angelica up. Beth her and get her dressed.
“Is mommy here?” Angelica asks.
“Yes sweetie, she is, she’s sleeping in the bedroom.” Bette replies.w
“I wake her?” Angelica asks.
“Sure, sweetie, go on.” Bette says.
Angelica runs for the bedroom, but the door is closed.
“Mama, the door.” Angelica asks, turning around towards Bette.
Bette walks up and opens the door.
“Don’t scare her Angel, be quiet and nice.” Bette says as she follows Angelica into the bedroom. Angelica walks quickly over to the bed and the side where Tina lays on. She is lying on her side close to the edge, facing the door and now Angelica.
Angelica carefully places her small hand on Tina’s chin.
“Mommy, mommy.” She says just above whisper. “Mommy, wake up.” She adds.
After a few moments, Tina starts to stir. She stretches and then opens her eyes. She smiles when she sees Angelica by her side.
“Good morning sweetie.” Tina says and pulls Angelica p and into bed and hugs her tightly. She then sees Bette, standing in the doorway.
“Good morning.” She says and smiles at Bette.
“Good morning.” Bette says and walks into the room and takes a seat on the edge of the bed. “Did you sleep well?” Bette asks.
“I did. Thank you for letting me stay.” Tina says and smiles.
“You’re welcome. So, are you hungry?” Bette asks.
“I am mama.” Angelica says quickly which makes Bette and Tina laugh.
“You are huh?” Tina asks and pulls her close again for a hug. “Take her, I’ll just get dressed and I’ll join you in the kitchen.” Tina says.
“Sure.” Bette says and lifts Angelica off of Tina and they walk out and into the kitchen.
“Mama? Can I have hambuger?” Angelica asks.
“A hamburger? For breakfast? No you can not.” Bette replies.
“Why?” Angelica asks.
“Because that is food meant for dinner, not breakfast… You want cereal?” Bette asks.
“Okay.” Angelica replies.
Tina walks in minutes later, she stops in front of Bette.
“Thank you for last night. It was the best one I’ve had in a long time.” Tina says and leans in and kisses Bette softly on the lips.

I am glad they are safe. I was scared for a minute. I hope the fact that Bette didn’t go to the ER is not another chapter of drama. Please post soon.
Great chapter. I was freaking out when Angelica ran off toward the street ! I would have done the same thing Bette did at whatever the cost! You don’t even think when your child might be in harms way. A mother’s instinct is a force to be reckoned with! LOL! I felt really bad for Helena. The feeling of hitting a living creature with your vehicle is awful. I hit a squirrel once with my car, and was in tears….so I can just imagine what she was feeling. PPS.

You had me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see if Angel and Bette were going to be okay. Shock can kill a person faster than injuries in some cases. I am glad that Bette and Angel just had some bruises and that Helena was going to be okay. It is nice to see B,T&A all bonding and trying to become a family.

Hey Lauen, That wa an awesome chapter. The suddeness of the accident showed just how easy it is for kids to run off and put themselves in danger. Plus how maternal instinct just takes over as a mother pupts herself between her child and an oncoming vehicle. I am just glad that no-one including Helena was seriously injured unless you have a sneaky plan for Bette’s injuries taking a turn for the worse as she refused to go to the ER for further checks. It also loos like the rest of the gang as up to speed on the developing relationship between these gals again. More please as this was traumatic but a must read installment. Thank you, Your Loyal Fan.
This chapter reminded me how careful I have to be with my neices.

LOL@Angel wanting a hamburger for breakfast! I was thinking, “Oh man Tina is gonna kick some ass!” If Helena hadn’t been in shock, Tina very well may have kicked her ass into next year.
Lauren I also read your higly dramatic A Crush A Meeting Then Love story, so when I read there was an accident, I just thought to myself, This woman Loves her some drama lol!But I still love both stories, I always fret everytime I go out with my lil nephew, he is so hyper, and he runs alot.

I really don’t feel good about Bette not wanting to go the the ER to get checked out. Tina should insist that she go the following day to be on the safe side. This also has to remind B&T how short life can be and they shouldn’t waste their precious time together. You can NEVER be to careful with children, I just burns me up when I see people walking with small children and eventhough they are holding their hands the child is closes to traffic–DUMB. We were always tought that the adult should always keep themselves between the child and traffic so that if something unexpected happens, you have a little more response time to protect the child. Just the other day I was visiting a friend and attempting to park my SUV. I had already pulled up, stopped, looked around and was about to back into the parking space when I caught a flicker of something moving. This kid ran around the back of my SUV (To his credit he was running in a circle away from the vehicle) he was smiling in a playful manner and I could not physcally see him once went behind the vehicle. That scared me so much and I was so PISSED off. I just wanted to spank him and kick the butt of who ever was suppose to be watching him. I yelled at him not to do that and he just ran wawy still smiling as if it was funny or a game.
thank goodness they all okay and i hope bette won’t suffer later from something they couldn’t find…they need to be happy

Just returned after a vacation of almost three weeks and catching up with you stories. Girl, with this one you really hit the jackpot. This story is so good, so full of everyting I want to read. You’re leading me through all kind of emotions, you’ve brightened my day for hours today. I really have to thank you for that. Sure hope this story goes on for a long time, I will be looking for it every morning.
