Chapter Three

Tina had been sitting in the most absurd traffic for the last hour. “Come on” she let out a frustrated yell. “No mom I wasn’t yelling at you” she replied almost dropping her phone. “Yes, he’s fine….Yesterday….well im calling you now…..im sorry…..well I don’t know what he has planned for tomorrow…..yes I told him to get a haircut, I don’t see what the big deal is it wasn’t really that long…how do you know, you haven’t even see him…..ok…I gotta go now, traffic is finally moving…..im on my way to pick him up now….yes i’ll talk to him…love you too…bye” Tina let out a grunt and threw her phone on the passanger seat. Twenty minutes later she was parking outside her brothers dorm. She got out of the car and buzzed his room. “Hey it’s me” she said as the door unlocked. When she got to his room the door was open. As she entered she noticed that Ben did infact cut his ear length hair.

Tina: “Oh you did cut your hair, thank god, I didn’t want to listen to mom complain about that forever. Take off your hat, let me see it.”

Ben smiled and removed his hat.

Tina: “Oh christ, a mohawk Ben! Are you tying to give her a heart attack.”

Ben: “What, you don’t like it?”

Tina: “It’s lovely. Are you ready to go?”

Ben: “Yeah”

Ben threw his bag in the back seat and they were off, back to Tina’s apartment. This time the drive was more relaxed and they were in West Hollywood on no time. Tina’s cell phone rang as she parked the car. “Hello….hey…oh my god I totally forgot….it’s tonight huh…yeah it’s friday….im sorry Eric, my brother just transfered to UCLA and he’s staying with me for the weekend…..um, I don’t know if that’s his sort of crowed….ok let me call you back in a minute.” Tina turned to Ben with a huge pleading smile. Part of her really wanted him to want to go to the gallery opening with her cause she knew Eric would be busy talking to people and she would be bored out of her mind.
