“I’ve decided not to marry Tonya, I don’t know what I was thinking and I don’t know why it took a long…ahem…’talk’ with Alice for me to realize I wasn’t really happy with Tonya. I was just settling because I was afraid I’d never find someone to share my life with”
With that, Dana looked at Alice, squeezed her hand and said “Thank you Alice, I really needed that ‘talk’ I was hoping maybe after my training session you could come over and we could talk more?” Alice’s face lit up “Sure Dane! What time should I come over?” “Well I’ll call you because I have to talk to Tonya first, when I’m through with that and she finally leaves then I’ll call ok?” “Great!” Alice replied. “Ok then, well I need to get to the club before my new coach kills me, bye Shane, bye Jenny.” Dana slowly let go of Alice’s hand and stood up, walking a few steps before turning around and looking Alice straight in the eye saying “By the way Al, you look incredibly beautiful today.” Shane spit out her coffee but before she could get any words out Dana had scampered out of the door leaving Alice to answer to the questioning eyes of both Shane and Jenny. After a moment of silence Shane and Jenny started firing questions at their guilty looking friend. “What the ***** is going on?”, “What did you guys talk about last night?”, “Why was Dana holding your hand?” “Is there something going on between you two?” Getting up Alice looked at them and deadpanned “Well my friends, thats for me to know and you guys to desperately try to find out.” Turning on her heel, Alice walked out of the shop, got in her car and just sat there thinking to herself “I’m going to kill Dana, but god did she look ***** today!” She sat there for a few seconds more and as she was driving to work all she could do is ask herself “Is this really happeneing? Am i realy falling in love with my best friend?”
