    PUSH and PULL 4

Tina on her work station too busy to even notice Bette’s presence, which was hardly the case.

"So, Tina? I heard Ms. Peabody got an eye on you," Bette started. She even sat on the edge of the table, trying to make a more or less casual conversation.

"I wouldn’t know about that Ms. Porter," Tina trying to ignore her.

Bette was a bit surprised. Tina seemed to be too occupied with whatever she’s doing to even notice her. Annoyed for reasons she don’t know, Bette then retorted.

"I really don’t care what you do after office hours. Just don’t mess this thing up. Whatever we have with Ms. Peabody is purely business, of course, until after office hours."

Without response from Tina, Bette tried to reclaim authority.

"Do you understand?" while staring directly at the blonde.

Tina then held her head up and returned the gaze, "Yes, Ms. Porter."

Tina for the first time was able to find her voice.

"I wouldn’t do such a thing. Not another mistake!"

    "Another mistake?"

Tina chose to ignore what appeared to be shock in those deep brown eyes staring back at her. She grabbed a folder and quietly reminded her boss of her girlfriend’s phone call. Doing so will keep Tina on her toes. She wasn’t supposed to fall, not again. As factual as she could, "Ms. Lerner left a message for you. She asked if you’ll be free for lunch."

"Ahmm..not today, Tina," Bette still surprised where Tina’s getting her confidence.

"Ok." Tina then grabbed dialed a number as a quick response.

Ms. Lerner’s office. This is Tina. I’m afraid Ms. Porter isn’t free for lunch today.

After the brief notice, Tina motioned to leave her table and pack some of her things.

    "Where are you going?"

With a look that says– why do you care– Tina fumbled for her purse and said, "It’s lunch hours."

"Right," Bette with defeat in her eyes and her voice.

Tina can’t help but notice the drop of her boss’ face. She almost quickly felt guilty, "…unless you need anything else, some errands maybe?"

"No," Bette looking at the floor.

Just when Tina was about to leave, she heard her again.

    "Hmm, where are you going?"

    1. ” I just wanted to hide from the crowd that night. She came in without bothering to turn on the lights. I didn’t know what happened. Next thing I know I’m making love with a silhouette. ” – This is a very interesting part for Tina!
