Bette hangs up and gets in the car. She leans over and kisses Shane on the lips.
“morning, Thanks for coming to get me. Now lets go home and get some of that much needed sleep. Then you can explain why is that you have my car.”

“Fine, but you need to stop doing this. Oh, and Kit called yesturday left a message saying to give her a call, she has something important to tell you”. Shane said as she was driving off.

Chapter -2

*Tina

Tina finally step foot in her new two bedroom apartment that she will be sharing with Sophie. Tina walks in throwing her purse on the couch. She walks around the house looking at everything. Opens the door to the room that will now be hers. She smiles, when she sees how all her stuff are already here. Aperantly Sophie did her best putting everything the way she knew Tina would like it. She walks out to the living room, and sees Sophie laying on the couch. Tina heads over to the kitchen to open a bottle of wine.

“So, Tina. how do you like are knew apartment.” Sophie says. watching Tina open the bottle of wine.

“I like it. Now I’m glad you came here a week ago and picked out the furniture and organized everything.” Says Tina poaring the wine in two wine glasses.

“Yeah, me too. I got a good feel on how people are here.  It will be fun you will see.” Sophie says taking the glass Tina is offering her. She watches Tina sit on the couch next to her.
“Tina are you sure your not going to miss your life in New York?” Sophie says watching Tina closly. Wondering why she decided to come with her out of the blue.

Tina just smiles. ” you mean the women?”

“Well yeah, them too.” Sophie says watching tina drink all her wine like water and getting some more.

“I’m sure there plenty of women here too. Besides I heard great things about Californian women, So I’m here to find out if its true.”

” your so full of your self Tina, Someday you will meet your match. Some day.”

Tina just laughs, shes run into alot of women who tryed. Tina just knows how to play the game. She cant help her self. Shes just really good at it. She knows she has to settle down, some day. Someday she will. Turning her attention back to Sophie who is still watching her closely. ”What?”

“Why Tina? thats all. just why? Why did yo come with me? Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad you came. Its just that I get this feeling your running from something. What?”

Tina just looks Sophie in the eye. This is a conversation Tina is not in the mood to be having. Specially after there long flight across the states. She decides to lighten the scene thats unfolding in front of her.
“Which one is it why or what?”

“Come on Tina!!” Sophie says getting kind of upset but knows not to push her friend or she will just shut her out completely.
