    Picture Chapter 9

    Previously…

Tina: I want you to be apart of our daughter’s life; no matter what happens between us.

Bette: I’m glad you changed your mind. I can’t believe how far we have come; considering the place we were at before. All those years we were together…you weren’t just my partner; you were my best friend, I’m happy to have that back at least.

    Tina: Me too.

Tina did love that she and Bette were friends again, but she wanted more, did Bette? What Tina didn’t know was that Bette wondered the same thing. Both women were too afraid of loosing each other again by pushing things too far; they didn’t say anything. Bette lied down next to Tina. Both of them still exhausted from the eventful day, they drifted to sleep.

    The Next day…

Bette and Tina were still lying on the hospital bed. Tina was the first one to wake up. She gently ran her fingers through Bette’s hair. She really appreciated all that Bette has done for her; despite the last few months. Bette could feel that Tina was awake. She looked up at Tina. She realized that she was lying on Tina and quickly got up.

Bette: I’m sorry; did you want to get up? You could have woken me.

Tina: No, I’m fine, I just got up myself.

Bette yawned. She stood up and stretched. The doctor knocked on the door and then entered.

    Doctor Thomas: Good morning ladies.

    Tina: Morning doctor.

Doctor Thomas: Ah, Tina I have some good news. You’re allowed to go home this afternoon. Besides the bruises and cuts…you’re perfectly fine.

    Bette: She was very lucky.

Doctor Thomas: Yes, now you may be a little sore, that’s normal. But if you have any other problems, come back; but I think you’ll be just fine.

Tina: Thank you very much Doctor Thomas.

Doctor Thomas looked over at Bette.

Doctor Thomas: Now you take care of her, make sure she doesn’t do too much too soon.

    Bette: I will.

    1. great update and I think it is a good thing that both of them have doubts. Maybe they won’t rush into anything and start talking and working out the problems. Thanks for the update

    2. Just because she is back in the home dosen’t mean they are back together…that will take time. I think they should all be under the same roof anyway…but that’s because I am a Tibetter. Keep posting.

    3. Theirs never been a doubt that these two belong together. Now, if they’d just start talking to each other, they’d realize they want the same thing. Kit, and the others will get over their aprehension about B&T once they know that everything is okay again in Kennard-Porter land.

    4. Now that they are under the same roof, they can get into some deep discussions and discover that their hearts are in the same place…the sooner, the better. Great story and writing!
