At New York….

At the hotel room…

Dana is looking at Lara reading through her recipe books. She’s really having a hard time how to tell Lara about how she feels. She walked slowly towards her and sat down next to her on the couch.

Dana: Lara..I need to tell you something…

Lara: Yeah sure, what’s up?

Dana: Well-

Dana was interrupted by a knock on the door.

Lara: Wait. Hold that thought, I’ll just go get that.

Lara then stood up and opened the door. As she opened it a woman came in, it was the same woman from the fundrasing that was flirting with Lara. Lara greeted her with a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Lara: Hey, I thought you weren’t gonna come by till later.

Woman: Yeah but I thought we’d get an early start so we can get more practise.

Dana feeling completely invisible, coughed fakily to get their attention.

Lara: (turning to Dana) Oh Marie. I completely forgot, this is Dana Fairbanks..my girlfriend.

Dana: (standing up and walked towards them)Hey (shaking Marie’s hand)

Marie: Hey Dana.

Lara: And Dana this is Marie, she’s going to be my partner for the cook-off

Dana: (looking puzzled) Partner? I thought it would only be you cooking?

Lara: Yeah but Marie’s a really good cook and we have a higher chance of winning don’t you think?

Dana: ….yeah…okay…

Lara: (facing Marie) So we should get going then..?

Dana: Where you guys off to?

Marie: We’re just going to practice our cooking make sure everything’s alright.

Lara: Remember that we have an appointment on the Housing Agency thing this afternoon…we’ll talk later okay? (giving Dana a kiss on the cheek and walks out)

Dana: …bye…

Shane and Carmen are walking down the streets.

Shane: So do you think she’s gonna stay?

Carmen: I don’t know, didn’t she say she still loves Alice?

Shane: I know, I hope she-

Shane stops on her tracks and took off her sunglasses, looking at the other side of the street.

Carmen: (noticed she wasn’t following) What?

Shane: (pointing to where she’s looking) Isn’t that Dannielle?

Carmen spotted her with two guys looking rather suspicious. They walked and turned to an alleyway.

Shane: Come, let’s follow them. (Running off)

Carmen: Okay, wait! (trying to catch up to Shane)

Shane and Carmen entered the alleyway and saw shadows at the end of the alleyway, they srept up slowly and quietly around the corner, so they can hear them talking.

Man 1: The moneys all here..you got the package?

Dannielle: Of course I’ve got it, show me the money….alright here it’s all there, it’s pure just like you asked.

Man 2: Nice doing business with you, Dannielle.

Dannielle: Anything for my best customers.

Shane and Carmen looked at eachother speechless.

Carmen: (whispering) We should go now, Shane.

Shane (whispering) Alright come on.

They turned around and ran quietly as they can out of the alleyway. They made sure they were out of sight and away from the alleyway.

Shane: Did I just hear what I just heard back there?

Carmen: ….we should defintely tell Alice…

Shane: No we can’t, we just have to think this through first..

Carmen: Should we call the cops?

Shane: I don’t know..

Alice’s house…

Shane and Carmen knocked on the door. In seconds Alice opened the door and greeted them and let them come inside.

Alice: Hi, I wasn’t expecting you guys.

Shane: Yeah well….where’s Dannielle? (looking around)

Alice: She said she went off to work.

Shane: At work huh?

Alice: Yeah why?

Dana and Lara are just about to walk in in the housing place when Dana just stopped.

Lara: What’s wrong? You okay?

Dana: (looked her straight in the eye) I can’t do this Lara.

Lara: Don’t worry, I’ll make sure we’ll get a proper house…now come on

Dana: (getting teary) No Lara I can’t do THIS.

Lara: What?

Dana: I can’t move in with you…I’m sorry..I saw the way you and Marie look at eachother and I think there;s something happening.

Lara: What? There’s nothing happening between us.

Dana: What give it a week? A month?

Lara: (looking a little guilty and teary) Dana…

Dana: (crying) I’m sorry I just realised something..and there’s somewhere else I have to be.

Lara: …Alice…? (crying now)

Dana: I’m sorry I really wanted this to work out but I can’t. (gives Lara a quick hug and walks off)

Lara looks on crying.

Shane and Carmen lying down in bed staring at the ceiling.

Shane: What are you gonna do?

Suddenly the phone rang and Shane picked it up.

Shane: Hello?

Dana’s voice: Shane….I’m coming home..(hangs up)

Shane: What Dana?! Hello?!

Carmen: What who was it?

Shane: It was Dana…she said she was coming home…
