“Okay, I guess I don’t have any other choice, do I?” Bette asked, enjoying the playfulness between her new friends. She realized that since she had stopped fainting and met Tina she was constantly smiling. Tina nodded and Bette smiled again, “Then we better go because I’m feeling hungry myself. All I had today was cold coffee and some very delicious cookies.”
They walked outside and Bette breathed in fresh air, closing her eyes for a moment as she looked up into the blue sky. She was still wearing Tina’s dress and the blonde was silently admiring the vision in front of her.
‘Does she even know how gorgeous she is, how hot she is? She could wear a potato sack and be the hottest girl on the block. Of course, I’d rather see her wearing nothing but unfortunately it’s not up to me…at least not now,’ Tina sighed and opened the passenger door for Bette to get in.
“Bette, I think you will enjoy the ride better on the front seat,” Tina said, holding the door.
Bette stood in front of the car and tried to figure out how she should climb inside of this tiny box. ‘How can I get in and more importantly, how do I fit in there?’ Bette thought, getting a little agitated. ‘Do I climb in with my head forward or put my legs in first, which will put me into indecent position?’
Fortunately, Alice noticed Bette’s dilemma and decided to show her the process of getting inside the car. She opened the back door, slowly put one leg inside the vehicle first and then smoothly slid in the rest of her body.
Still confused but thankful for the demonstration, Bette tried to repeat Alice’s movements. She put one leg safely inside and turned her body so she could get in completely but unfortunately, she forgot to bend down her head.
If it wasn’t for Tina, Bette would have to deal with a huge bump on her head and a possible migraine but Tina showed pretty good reflexes. She quickly pressed Bette’s head down with her free hand and practically pushed her inside the car, almost falling in together with her.

I was missing this story…thanks for posting. I’ve been following this story from the beginning. I love the history that is weaved into the story. I was born and raised in Orange County and enjoy the history of the area.

The car ride was probably more like a roller coaster to Bette. Tina and Alice will have a lot of work ahead of them to incorporate Bette into their lives.
Hahaha…I really love Bette’s reactions to all the things that she is experiencing for the first time. Tina will be there to help her throug everything and I’ll bet that Bette will find that the 3 months goes very quickly and maybe she’ll have a different dilemma on her hands. B&TF you are doing a marvelous job with this story…I absolutely love it!
Wow, I’m loving the story, and especially the fact that Tina will be taking care of her. That would be so cute for Tina to snuggle in with her when she has her scary dreams. Aww, this weak and vulnerable Bette is really cute. Great job!
To jump ahead in time by 120 years would be a terrifying journey. However, to do it with someone as loving and caring as Tina by my side would greatly ease those fears. Thanks S!! This is like re-reading a favorite book! :-)
