    Chapter 1

    Somewhere in Los Angeles

Bette was having a difficult day; she was struggling to get the supplies she had asked for weeks ago.

“I’m telling you, you get me my supplies or forget about us working with you EVER again” She was doing her best not to scream at the guy on the other end of the call.

“Miss Porter I can assure you we’re doing everything in our power to deliver you the items you have requested for” The man was trying his best to be polite and show his true concern about the situation.

“Well you DAMN try harder!” Bette finally snapped at the guy “I have placed this order weeks ago and I will not tolerate this any longer, if I don’t have my order by tomorrow morning you can erase us from your list of clients” She concluded and disconnected the call.

“Goddamn it!” She shouted to no one.

Her cell phone rang again and she answered without looking at the caller ID.

“What now? What part of I want the goods deliver ASAP are you not getting?” She answered utterly annoyed.

“Hi darling, it’s always so lovely when you greet me like that” A woman with the perfect british accent replied.

“Oh sorry Hel, I’m just struggling with some major problems here… didn’t know it was you” Bette said calming down in record time.

“It’s ok dear, how are you? Besides stressed”

Helena Peabody was one Bette’s best friends. They had met in Yale in their freshmen year and since then they had been almost inseparable.

“Well I’ve been better, how about you? Are you back in town?” Bette asked rubbing her forehead with the back of her hand.

“I am splendid thank you for asking… there’s something about Australia that suits me. Anyway the primarily reason why I am calling you dear is” Helena replied but was quickly interrupted by her brunette best friend.

    1. Oh WOW!!!!!!!! By all means, please continue. I’m so hooked. I can just hear Tinas’ chuckle. Thanks for coming back and sharing with us.

    2. YOU MUST CONTINUE THIS!…But what is Bette’s job?..you never write what her job is?..she’s not a curator again right?…And what is the “Item?”..but this is good..i loved Bette and Tina’s beginning!

    3. I noticed that you started updating this story again so I came back to read it from the beginning. Interesting, I remember this one a little especially the part where Bette and Helena are the best friends and of course Alice in the mix. Tina and Better first contact was awesome. My journey continues.
