    Chapter 9 – B&T beginning

     

    The conversation was mainly between the happy couple and their parents, all of them praising what a magnificent work Bette had done. Tina kept on stealing glances at the brunette, and tried to hide the shy smiles that appeared on her face every time she got caught staring, by those big and beautiful brown eyes.

     

    “Oh Bette we’re about to cut the cake, why don’t you stay with us?” Kelly said excited at the idea.

     

    “That’s very kind of you, but I have a kitchen to clean up and there’s still tomorrow’s brunch to prepare” The chef politely replied, it wasn’t Bette’s style to interact much with the people at the weddings she worked at. She just came out of her kitchen long enough to greet and congratulate the happy couples.

     

    It was true that in the past Bette did weddings mostly to promote her business, but ever since she had become one of the most successful chefs in LA, there was longer the need for that. Besides she never did the promoting herself, usually the waiters and waitresses did that for her. Nowadays she just did weddings for her own pleasure. For Bette it was like a few days of holidays and she usually did take a couple of days off when the event was over. That’s why she only chose to do weddings that would be held outside LA.

     

    “I understand” Kelly nodded. “I’ll make sure you and all the staff get slices of the cake then” Kelly said shaking Bette’s hand for the millionth time that day. And I have just the right girl for that job Kelly mischievously thought with a grin forming on her face.

     

    Bette thanked everyone again and quietly retreated back to her kitchen. Tina couldn’t help but to be largely disappointed at that, especially since she didn’t get any chance to interact with the gorgeous brunette. But she quickly realized her parents were actually in the same room so perhaps it was for the best, before they saw their daughter plant a big wet kiss on the chef’s lips. We’ll get to that, but this is not the place or the time. I wouldn’t want to spoil my best friend’s wedding by my parents freaking out on me…

And they are so smitten with each other, i hope they can see each other privately while they are there and maybe Tina can spend a couple days with Bette since she will be staying in the area for a little R&R. It owuld be perfect for them to spend a little time together rather than in LA where they can run into all sorts of friends, relatives, and acquaintenances. This way they would be strangers in another town enjoying their time together. Thanks so much for posting. PPS

    11. Oh this is so sweet… I can just see them feeding each other little bites of cake while staring dreamily into each others eyes….kinda like the spaghetti scene in ‘Lady and the Tramp” but with hot lesbians and cake, LOL!

    16. Lovely chapter,Laurel needs to step back she’s had years to make her approach to Bette,Plus I know she can tell Bette’s feelings for her are platonic. Nice rivalry Tina and Laurel vying for Bette’s attention. PPS
