“So I was essentially calling you to confirm our date tomorrow” Bette said trying to break the intensity of the moment, for she thought she wouldn’t be able to restrain herself from either saying something else that could expose her too much or jumping in her car and driving directly to Tina’s office, wherever that was.
“I’ll pick you up at 7?” Tina quickly asked feeling torn. She did feel the intensity of the moment but she wasn’t sure why the brunette was ending it. Have I gone too far? Probably… damn it, this used to be so much simpler…
“I’ll text you my adress” Bette softly said smiling over the phone, already anticipating the night she would get to spend with that breath taking creature.
“Then I guess I’ll see you tomorrow” Tina quickly and playfully added, not really knowing how would she ever concentrate enough in anything other than Bette Porter, for the hours could not go fast enough.
“See you tomorrow, T” At that moment Bette raised both her eyebrows and placed her right palm on her forehead. What in heaven is wrong with me… good lord Porter…
“T?” Tina simply asked but quickly added smiling. “I like it, no one has ever called me that… ok, I’ll see you tomorrow Bette… bye” And just like that she disconnected the call or otherwise she would just get in her car and camp outside Bette’s restaurant if that was what it took to see her. This woman… is just… gosh, what am I gonna do…
The rest of their day was spent working as hard as they could possibly do, since for each of them time was passing incredibly slow. Both of them were starting to discover, much to their surprise, that any amount of time seemed to be amazingly hard to manage without seeing one another.
Ultimately the inevitable happened and Bette found herself waking up to the rays of sunlight, which only meant two things: first she had overslept and was running late for work, and second that it was finally friday so she would get to see that amazing blonde that had hijacked her thoughts.
“Good morning Joan” Bette said happily as she entered her kitchen and got a questioning stare from her friend. “What… I cannot say hi?” The brunette added as she noticed her friend’s expression.
