Summary of the previous chapter: Alex shares some of the hopes shed had for the child she had wanted. Bette and Tina get a reminder of their priorities.

The silence and reflective thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Bettes cell phone. She would have turned off the phone, but she was waiting for Dana as it was still Bettes day to be responsible for Dana.
The call was to let Bette know that Dana was finished at the gym. To the surprise of both Bette and Tina, Alex (guessing what Dana was saying) jumped in and suggested that she should go pick up Dana. Alex told Bette to tell Dana that it would take only a couple of minutes to change into her Alethia costume and then she would be on her way. Alex suggested that it would be good to remind Tonya that Dana was still involved with Alethia and her group by giving Tonya another view of Alethia.

Alex headed into the room to change. Bette and Tina looked at each other surprised, I guess she needs to get away Bette whispered to Tina.

Dressed in the despised outfit which Alice had selected, Alex left to go to the gym. She told Bette and Tina to make themselves at home while she was out. As earlier, Alex poked her head in and said, put out the do no disturb sign if you decide to ***** in my room. She ducked in time to avoid the couch pillow Bette tossed at her with a smile. Never let it be said that Bette and Alex werent masters at hiding their true emotions.

Alex arrived at the gym. She refused to enter as she did not want to be seen publicly in her Alethia outfit. Using the cell phone, Alex let Dana know that her car was waiting. While driving, Dana sat smiling as she thought over the time she had spent talking and flirting with Alice in addition to the secretive touches they had shared.

When the duo arrived, they entered to encounter Tonya who quickly closed her cell phone upon seeing them enter the door. She gave Alex a look indicating her intense desire to tear Alex limb from limb.
