    Oblivion, Chapter 1 “Blissful”

Shane quietly shut the door to her room, and made her way into the kitchen her bare feet padding against the floor. Opening up the refrigerator, she looked past the Corona, Vodka, and Smirnoff and grabbed a bottle of water. Her mind was reeling, no she didn’t have a hangover, she hadn’t been a bender in months. Shane had just spent an excruciating night of pleasure with Carmen. Shane smiled. She’d been doing that a lot lately now that her and Carmen were officially a couple.

    A couple. She had girlfriend.

It still perplexed Shane out of her mind why Carmen was different. There was something about her, maybe it was her smile, shining bright and effervescent. Or maybe, it was the softness of her golden skin, that no matter how cold it was in a room, always seemed to be warm, comfortably warm. Shane sighed, Carmen was hot, there was no doubt about it. Wherever she went she seemed to turn the heads of women and men. But, Carmen never looked, not once.

Shane had been with a lot of sexy women, so although Carmen’s physical appearance was very nice, that couldn’t be it. Carmen stuck around even through all the hell. She never once gave up on Shane no matter how stubborn she got. Shane loved that about Carmen, her stubbornness. Her inability, to let something go. If it hadn’t been for it, then Shane wouldn’t be standing in the middle of her kitchen, with tousled hair, dressed in her white wife beater and pajama pants, water bottle in hand smiling like a complete lesbian.

    “Shane?”

Shane jumped, startled out of her thoughts. She turned to see Carmen standing in the doorway of the kitchen in a robe. Shane reeled, feeling as if she’d been punched in the gut, overwhelmed at the sight of her raven haired goddess.

“Am I interrupting something?” Carmen asked smiling. Shane bowed her head and chuckled her cheeks reddening with warmth. “No.” she replied.

Carmen laughed as she walked over to Shane her hips swaying, the silk of her robe brushing against her skin with every movement. She wrapped her arms around Shane’s waist. “Oh, because it looked like I did.”

Shane slightly parted Carmen’s robe and smoothed her hands against Carmen’s back. Carmen sighed contentedly, her head resting against Shane’s chest. Shane buried her face into Carmen’s messy raven tendrils. “Well, you might’ve.”
