Nothing Really Compares – Chapter Six

    Chapter Six

    Peggy grinned evil.
"There is no hope, no hope at all. I am going to kill you, your Bette can’t find a million dollars on such short notice."
Tina was scared and her body ached. She felt like having a very long, hot bath, but in these circumstances this seemed to be a faraway dream. A dream that only could come true in another world, a world where she was happy with Bette, Angie and her friends and where there were no psycho’s who kidnapped her.
"Than why did you kidnap me? I mean, if you know that Bette can’t pay the money on beforehand…"
"You are a practise for the big fish, Tina. You mean nothing to us, whatever old Bill here might have told you."
Tina looked at the man, who seemed to be ashamed. Why had he lied to her? And why should she care? In a strange way, she had felt pity for the man. But all that remained now was pure hate. How could she have any feelings of pity for a monster like him, doing this to her? If he was that shy, if he was a good man in the core, than why didn’t he stop his wife with this ridicolous, scaring plan?
"I don’t understand, why did you pick me?"
"Ah, well, girls just wanna have fun, right? Let’s see. You are a blonde, beautiful woman. You’re not married, but you do have this relationship that many people would die for. You are a mother and you have a succesful career. Many would kill for it. I would kill for it."
Tina started to understand a bit, but it did not wash away the deep hate she felt.
"I disgust people like you," Penny continued. "You and your perfect lives, without even moving your but. You have everything without doing shit, while the rest of us works their ass of."
"I have worked very hard to get where I am!" Tina shouted, now getting mad. "You have no idea what I’ve been through, you have no idea about how my life is like!"
"Oh, it must be very hard," Penny said ironically. "Don’t try, girl. You are dead already."

Shane came back to The Planet at 7 PM, where the rest of the gang was waiting for her. They all looked at her, some hopefully, others worried.
"Have you managed to earn something?" Alice asked prudently.
"Well, it ain’t much," Shane said. She looked pretty ok and that eased Bette a bit. She had been worried sick about her friend, doing such thing.
"2000. From the one fuck to the other, all very short ones."
Before anyone could answer, Helena came in. All faces turned to her and Bette felt like this was a moment that would change her life.
"My mother didn’t want to give me any money," Helena said.
    "Bitch!" Kit gasped.
"She merely said we should contact the police."
"The kidnapper clearly stated that their should be no police involved," Bette said. "I want Tina to be safe."
"And the president said that everything would be better," Shane replied with a sneer. "Come on, Bette, seriously. We have to do this right, we can’t do it on our own. As good as our Lesbian Patrol is, having police backing you isn’t such a bad thing."
"And what about your 2000 dollars?"
    "Can always use it."
Bette sighed. "I don’t know… I love Tina so much, I’d kill myself if something happened to her."
"It is the police for heaven’s sake!" Helena said. "They have experience with this kinda stuff, right?"
"Right," Bette sighed, not very convincing.

    1. Well G, you really hit home that envy and jealousy can bring the worse out of people. Penny has obviously yearned for the life that Tina was living, and not happy with her own, but WOW WEE talk about going off the deep end eh? Penny listen up, SOMETIMES you have to work hard for get where you want to in life, and not on the coat tails of another. Okay, looks like the next chappy will wrap this one up. Good stuff! You are quite creative.
