No one can fight fate – ch. 03

    Previously:

Every of those actions of the last half and hour was starting to make part of a boring routine in Bette’s life. She would awake a few times in the middle or end of dawn, always thinking about one of them, would check on Kit as if justifying her restless night of sleep, and will go back to bed, but finally after a few times, she would just crashed on the couch, glass of water in hand, nothing to do beside to think. With some lucky between thinking about Tina and Alice she would drift of again to sleep. Sometimes she would just get up and get ready for the day.
She rested her head over her hands on the arm of the couch and stared a fixed point of the ceiling. Her mind, however, was miles and miles away – I’m going to be crazy so much I think about you.

    ———————————————————————————

But deep in her heart she knew that she would be, like they playfully have denominated, the vice in Bette’s heart. And yet knowing that she would insist to keep in touch, to let yourself fall in love even more each day, without any reservations. Indeed she has tried to build up the walls, she fought against her feelings, but in the end she gave up. Like Bette have told her, no one can control their heart and no one can fight fate. But she couldn’t avoid thinking about the trick that the destiny has prepared to her. She was sure that Bette was the woman of her life, but this feeling wasn’t and probably never would be reciprocated. The solution was following the flow while they could.

    ——————————————————————————–

She was happy with Bette, but didn’t feel Bette so involved in their relationship like before. She was sure, however, that enjoying some time together, even if it would be just a few days this time, would allow them to talk and reconnect.

CHAPTER 3: The lady in San Francisco

They day had passed slowly to her in despite the fact of her being really busy at work. She didn’t know if she was more upset or worried that Bette hadn’t tried to contact her all day. She was getting so used to the attention that Bette gave to her that she started to expect it naturally. Get the hint, dork! She is just a friend That night she was having dinner while watching the news on TV, laptop and cell phone on the coffee table close to her, two silent witnesses from how dependent she was of that friendship. She couldn’t help expecting for some signal of life from Bette. She was indeed so distracted, that the buzzer startled her. As an instinctive reaction, her first move was to turn to the coffee table but unfortunately it wasn’t yet that her wait would end. The second ring of the doorbell withdrew her from her trance. Shit! I forgot she was coming she said already standing to open the door. I’m coming!!

                   "Hey lady!"  greeted the visitor.

"Hi Shane!" she answered already leaning for the embrace. "Come in. My house, your house" she blurted out already regretting it – How comes that everything today remembers me of Bette she thought but dismissed it almost immediately – Try to enjoy the time with Shane for a change instead thinking about her as always. – "I just finished dinner. Do you wanna some?"

"Nah I’m fine. Thanks for letting me stay here this week." said Shane after sitting on the couch

"No problem it will be good to have a real close friend for a change."

                  "Feeling lonely?"

"Not really" she said, offering Shane a beer and then taking a seat beside her. "I have spending a lot of time of my day talking with someone trough instant messages."

"Are you serious? You never did it before it’s just not like you this behavior" laughed Shane

    3. so one of the ladies is definately tina? then i think this SF lady is Tina…i just have a feeling but other than that i’m lost….don’t forget your other stories, the liver one especially

    4. B&TF, I was thinking Miss SF was Tina as well, mostly because of one word: DORK. Dork seems like a word Tina would use. Alice would just flat out use an expletive. lol But I’m still trying to be impartial. Sometimes I try and hear Tina’s voice and then after awhile I try to hear Alice’s voice. And I need to finish this quickly because this spider ad is freaking me out.
