    Tina: “Every time my heart beats”? What does that mean?

    Alex lifted his cucumber facial mask and eyed his friend.

    Alex: I’m pretty sure it means that she thinks about you a lot, but don’t quote me on that.

    Tina: Alex I know what it means! But why would she say it? If she hates me so much why would she admit that?

    Alex sat up and tightened his robe.

    Alex: The problem isn’t that she hates you Tina. It’s that she loves you. When are you going to start putting this together? Bette could never hate you.

    Tina: I hate me.

    Alex: well, that’s understandable.

    Tina: What’s she like?

    Alex: Who?

    Tina: Sara.

    Alex: Oh, Tina, lets not do this. This was supposed to be a day of beauty and pampering. I’m supposed to feel pretty and I don’t feel pretty Tina!!

    Tina: Ok, I’m sorry.

    Tina lied back down on the massage table.

    Tina: Is she pretty?

    Alex: Tina!

    Tina: Sorry. I’m just curious!

    Alex: Well, you shouldn’t be. You have a girlfriend!

    Tina: I know and I adore Laura, it’s just…ugh, I don’t know.

    Alex: It’s just what? Regret? Jealousy? What?

    Tina: All of the above.

    Alex: I want to feel bad for you, I really do, but I can’t. You left her remember?

    Tina: Every second of every day.

    Alex: Why didn’t you ever call her?

    Tina: She asked me not to remember?

    Alex: You have to know her better than that. Of course she still wanted to hear from you.

    Tina: I should have stuck with dating boys, it was easier.

    Alex sat up and walked to grab a bottle of water.

    Tina: She said she couldn’t see me again.

    Alex: well, darling can you blame her?

    Tina: I just want to see her with my own eyes and make sure she’s ok.

    Alex: Well, take my word for it. She’s ok. She looks more beautiful and radiant then ever.

    Tina: Oh thanks.

    Alex: Well she does. It seems that a nervous breakdown worked for her.

    13. I gotta admit Flair I was kind of peeved at the ending of your last tale, so I was determined not to get involved in this one. I am usually not a big fan of drama for drama’s sake. But this is working. There is nothing quite like the anticipation of unrequited love. It is really quite romantic…although innocent people usually get hurt in its wake.
      I know you have a plan, so even tho mommy told me not to trust strangers, I guess I will just have to trust you and keep on reading.
      By the way, I loved Bette’s “Every time my heart beats.” Darn…Why can’t I ever think of things like that to say when my spouse asks if I was missing em.
      Well done so far. Don’t leave us hanging through this “let’s be friends” bullsh*t for too long, cuz let’s face it, two women connected like these two are NEVER going to be just friends.
