    “Well talking about the girls, I suppose we should get the show going” Shane said standing up from the table.

     

    “Alright, I’ll introduce you” Tina said with a smile as she led the group down the stairs.

     

    Chapter 12

     

    The band was met by shrills of 13 young girls as they entered the basement. Alice acted (unnecessarily) as the band’s body guard as they quickly moved onto the makeshift stage they had set up, Tina simply found herself a seat at the back of the room.

     

    “Oh my gosh Meghan! This is so cool. You rock!” were the shouts that filled the room as the band began to play. (There were also shouts of “Alice, you rock too!!” but those only came from Alice).

     

    The girls crowed around Meghan and jumped up and down to each and every song as they sang along. The band loved every minute of it. There is no feeling to compare to the feeling of having true innocent fans simply enjoying the moment. Bette looked out over the crowd of girls to find Tina standing at the back of the room swaying to the music as well. For Bette, everything was worth that moment. When her eyes met Tina’s, it was as if no one else was in the room.

     

    Shane, however, found herself laughing uncontrollably, caught up in the excitement of the girls as she played. Her hysterics were tripled by the fact that Alice’s head would pop up and down from the middle of the group of girls on all the wrong beats. Alice seemed as if she was having way more fun than anyone else and also seemed to rock an awesome air guitar through the whole performance. For a supposed street savvy reporter, Alice was pretty cool. 

     

    When the set eventually came to an end with a final singing of happy birthday to the birthday girl on stage, all the girls crowded around the band asking for autographs. Bette had actually brought a band t-shirt for everyone, which the band took turns signing. Alice stood beside the band too holding her own pen.

     

    “What’s that for?” chuckled Shane nodding towards Alice’s ready to use pen.

    4. OMG, Alice and her hairbrained schemes, I’m surprised Shane fell for that one,(a cupful), that had to be awful. Bette will probably make her pay for that one. Too funny. Happy that Tina and Bette are connecting and Tina is just really mesmerized by Bette. I’m sure she will be having wonderful dreams of this party. Thanks for posting.
