    I’m sorry to report that Ossie Davis, who played Melvin, Bette and Kit’s Dad was found dead in his hotel room. Cause of death is unknown. I want to express my condolences to all associated with the L-word who will miss his talent and presence.
    Sorry to report the bad news….Prayers to all who knew him.

    5. My condolences to his family, his tv family, and all of us that were touched by his spirit. May he rest in peace. His brilliance was his passion, on and off the camera.

    6. I have been busy working out of town. I have been really tired,too tired to watch tv;however I’ve just logged on and I find this… Mr. Davis was certainly an excellent actor,activist and speaker. The death of such a great person leaves so many of us speechless and sad. You will surely be missed. To the family I share in your loss, and now is the time to rejoice and celebrate his wonderful life(his inspiring so many others throughout his life.) I offer my most heartfelt prayers to the family..
