Masked Feelings CH 79 The 2nd Anniversary Halloween Edition
Roxy could feel hands on her shirt, pulling her away.
Shane – You need to leave now!
She shoves her in the direction of the driveway.
Shane – If you come back here again, I’ll personally kick your ass myself.
Roxy – I look forward to seeing what you’ve got. We’ll have to do this real soon…. after I find Alice.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
David was always watching. He knew about Alice’s disappearance, but had no idea where she was. This was one of those times where he wished he could be at more than one place at a time. If Roxy was so insistant on finding Alice, he’d let her. Her actions were getting more outrageous. He never expected her to try the same thing twice. It appeared that he’d have to step in and do something about it himself, but Kristen had shown up. She watched Roxy in action. Why she never called the police or stepped in to arrest Roxy was still somewhat of a mystery… unless she was one to exact revenge herself.
He knew of Roxy’s plan to sabotage Kristen’s marriage, because he had heard it from the open kitchen window that day. It didn’t become obvious as to her reasons of doing this until Kristen talked of this kiss they shared. He really hoped that Kristen wasn’t going to be a problem now. Her children shouldn’t have to pay the consequences for her lack of poor judgement. Roxy was definitely needing some guidance, but he had time to think about what to do about her. She had to find Alice first. Roxy needed to be punished for her actions against Dana… and he was looking forward to that.
David never could understand Lara’s attraction to Dana. Yeah, she was attractive and had some redeeming qualities about her, but David never thought she was good enough for her. Maybe this was because he wanted all her attention for himself. There was that unhealthy attraction to his sister that he couldn’t deny, no matter how hard he tried. He would do anything for Lara…. anything.
Lara had always defended Dana, even after their break up. It wasn’t her fault that she wasn’t ready to come out. This was the only real reason why they broke up in the first place. She said that Dana’s love for Alice was nothing more then a superficial physical attraction. What Dana and her had was the real thing. As much as he saw his sister hurting, she had never given up on trying to win Dana’s heart. She did succeed in getting her to marry her which was something that didn’t seem possible. Even David could underestimate Lara’s power of pursuance. He had been a willing victim of it for years. What he did now would still be for her…. this would never change, even after her death.

Brilliant as usual!! I wanted to strangle Alice for leaving and not contacting Dana not one time. She had to have known what that was doing to her. I’m still not convinced that Alice truly knows who or what she wants. I mean sure she says Dana is the only woman for her but those are just words. She hasn’t convinced Roxy that she doesn’t have a chance with her so she’s gonna continue to relentlessly pursue her. Would it be too much to ask if nobody finds Roxy and she just bleeds to death at the steering wheel? Oh, here’s a better idea: she wakes up in the hospital with amnesia therefore not knowing who Dana or Alice is and they can live happily ever after? That is until David decides to screw with them. I don’t know but I’m really liking him right now because he’s keeping the psychopath(which is what he happens to be also)away from my girls. But anyway they really need to do some serious talking without one walking out on the other. It’s good that Dana is continuing the therapy. Alice needs to do it too. But anyway I’ve rambled enough so I will take my leave now. By the way, you can’t let Roxy get away with digging her heel into Dana’s belly like that. She needs to pay. Great 2 year anniversary edition. Please post soon.
I can’t believe it’s been already two years you’re writing on this brillant story. Congratulationson your second anniversary, darlin’. May another two years follow:-))) This chapter is full of details and new insight. Until now I thought Roxy would change her behavior and work towards being more civilized and human. Instead she’s not learning from her past but continues to follow through withher immoral and cruel acting. I guess, it’s time for someone who opens her eyes a little bit…by scaring the shit out of her and make her understand that her manipulations are going to get back at hereventually. David would be the best candidate for this job. I’m certain he’s got enough ideas of how to convince her of backing off from Alice and Dana. Sometimes she’s just going too far. I was shockedto see that she’s becoming more of a criminal with each chapter. The fight with Dana, breaking into Dana’s condo without even covering her tracks and as a cherry on the cake kidnapping Dana. Although I understand where she’s coming from and that she’s trying to fight for her love she needs to respectand accept how to play the game by avoiding such harsh and uncalled methods. She would have had morechances to be with Alice if she only played fair. Somewhere deep inside of her she’s having a good heart, I’m sure of that. I hope I’m not wrong there. I have to say that I was a bit dissapointed of Dana’s lack of strength, understanding and faith to search for Alice. It seemed to me like she already gave up on the idea to be with Alice or that Alice wouldn’t come back after all that has been saidbetween those two. Where’s the commitment, the dedication, the love left that she claims to have for Alice? Dana should have taken a leaf out of Roxy’s book because she knew how to find Alice, with enough effort. I think, Dana was just too lazy or not willing to face Alice and start another bigargument. That’s where it would all lead to. Maybe Alice needed a time out for the time being to sorther feelings. I guess, it was the right decision to be alone for quite a few weeks. I’m glad that Dana’sconsulting a therapist or was forced to do so. I have no clue why the therapist’s name’s Carrie….butisn’t that also the title of a horror movie? lol This isn’t a good sign. I fear the doctor will causesome trouble in the future. Don’t have a good feeling with her, especially because her last name isMaxwell. Nothing’s ‘well’ with Carries, lol. In the end Miss (or Mrs.?) doctor will be head over heels for Dana herself, lol. Is she into women anyway, hmmmm? You didn’t tell that. A restraining orderagainst Roxy. Now I’m impressed. Finally Dana had the guts to do something about it although it probablywon’t do any good like the kidnapping scenario pointed out. So happy that my hero David showed up in the rightmoment and kind of helped Dana to free herself. Long live David, lol. Not sure what happens to Roxy nowthat her state is unknown. A few days in the hospital would be very nice. I was relieved when Alice finally finally finally appeared again. I don’t know how she could endure such a long time at her mother’splace but that’s a different story, lol. Handcuffing Dana was a good thought since Dana was pissed at her,not without reason. It’s not too late for them to start anew and work out those issues that are standingbetween them. I don’t think Al answered the question as to when Roxy became more important than Dana. She still has to get back to that otherwise it’ll stay unresolved and cause another crack in theirrelationship. Damn, I loved the sex scene in this chapter. So fucking H-O-T!!! It was very different from all the other sex scenes you’ve written before. I still need to figure out what it is but it’s definitely outrageous. Thanks for this terrific update:-) And please post soon, lol. You’re excellent, darlin’!!! You mean the world to me…..
brteyes, you are indeed true to your words and congratulations also. What a treat for me even it is after Halloween! Sorry that I did not comment on your last post because I away. This story just keeps getting better. Thank you for having David to save D. But I am very worried about those security cameras. What gives? David must want to know more about D than you are telling. I hate the thought that a) either David would use the tapes to blackmail A & D or b) for his own pleasure or c) for Lara??? I don’t know. As for Roxy, I second all cl_hodge’s suggestions. Those handcuffs really came in handy. I too believe that D would not have stayed to hear A’s explanation. The whole take on the “Carrie Maxwell” by Danalicious2 concerned me too. But I guess we would have more drama. Thank you yet for another Danish makeup sex scene. I agree with everyone else. They really needed heavy duty counseling. Great chapter. Thank you!!
I know I suck for not commmenting on the last one … so much so that I didn’t get a mention this time around. Sorry about that. I was really impressed with this chapter. You’ve come such a long way in the past 2 years and have shown more dedication to this story than I ever have to anything I’ve ever written before. You really should be proud of yourself, eventhough I know that’s not how you think. I’ve never quite known what to make of David all this time and this chapter has confused me even more. It’s almost as if he has made himself Dana’s protector in absence of Lara. Maybe I’m dense and didn’t pick up on that before or I’m completely wrong and I’m dense. I think I’m dense either way. At any rate … a very interesting wrinkle. I’m liking the new therapist and I’m hoping that she is no nonsense. No games. Dana needs help, not more drama. And I liked the no drama Dana in this chapter. It kind of reminded me of myself at a younger age. You can’t fill anyone else’s voids, you’re responsible for your own. Once you realize that, your life takes on a whole new scope. I think Dana just learned that lesson and it is certainly a painful one to come about. Alice also seems to have turned the corner, but the jury is still out on that one. This is definitely the most truly connected that they have seemed in a good long while. No pretense and that’s reallly why you love Alice & Dana … because they are just that damn good together. I also really liked the fact that you opted to have them make love in the spare bedroom … particularly after Roxy’s comments earlier in the chapter to Dana. There is no way better to vanquish a ghost or demon than to claim as your own and take it’s power. Again, I was extremely impressed with this chapter and I’m eagerly awaiting an update. Sorry I didn’t get to read this sooner, but life, concerts, wisdom teeth and prescription drugs have delayed me. Congrats darlin’!
Happy 2nd anniversity and thanks for the full chapter. It is good to see that Dana is finally taking some major steps forward and getting some good sound advice from Dr. Maxwell. Roxy is really starting to loose it if she thinks she can make Dana ‘take a vacation’ and no one would notice. I really liked that you chose to filter Alice’s conversation with Roxy thru Roxy’s POV, as baised as Roxy is it leaves the reader in the same place as Dana–not really sure where Alice’s heart is.
Happy anniversary, brteyes! You really are a good writer. I gotta say, though, sometimes it is hard to read. You take angst to a whole new level. ;-D I am so so pleased that Dana is in therapy. And, please, let her just be a normal therapist! Damn Roxy. I feel for her a little bit — she had a rough childhood. But leave the girls alone! They have enough issues. Dana should have called the cops. I agree with MT: send Roxy off to a mental institution of some kind. Then again, she seems to be the only thing distracting David at this point. Man — these girls can do some make-up sex, though. Hot! Maybe some serious conversation or joint counseling in their future, though? Thanks for the new chapter!
oh, i just had a thought. i like the therapist so far. how twisted would it be if she found out she had a connection to roxy?
hmmm…stellar writing as always. I do wish there was some way to just make Roxy stop and go into the mental ward, whatever that is. Couldn’t Dana or Alice contact the FBI? The police would obviously back up Dana getting a restraining order, and Shane could verify that Roxy was on Dana’s property when she had no need to be. But I know you’re just cooking something else up, hun. Maybe Dana and Alice should try therapy together? They don’t seem to be getting anywhere on their own, and solving things with sex only works for so long. I still don’t entirely buy Alice wanting to be with Dana only. Hell, she couldn’t even make Roxy believe it…but she’s getting there, I guess. Love this, and happy two years!
damn girl, u are one dedicated writer! 25 pages! now that’s what i call proper chapter length. it was a lot to read all at once, but i couldn’t stop. it was brilliant! u have come a long way since that first chapter. so much shit happened w/ our girls in just two years that i wonder how much more they can handle. roxy really has to be taken out along w/ the whole gambino family. loved how u ended the chappy w/ danish having sex in the spare room. now dana will have a much better memory to look back on when she looks at the spare room. i agree w/ cl_hodge that alice needs therapy. they also need couples therapy. i’m guessing that lara really is dead since david mentions that she’s gone. unless u’re tricking us to believe that she is dead when she’s actually alive. where the hell is her body? what is david’s motive for helping dana? when roxy and david finally meet face to face, it’s going to be an interesting fight. thanks for ending on a good note. hope u have a great halloween and get some rest after writing such a long chapter :).
25 pages of glorious writing fantastic job..wow i hate roxy so much who does she think she is geez i hope she realises soon that there will never be an anything with alice i wish alice would tell her that but i guess she wouldn’t listen and for what she did to dana geeeeeeeez shes one freaking psycho i still feel theres heaps of shit thats gunna happen to al and dana but that ending was great they deserve happiness i enjoyed that soooo much and i can’t wait till your next chapter!!!!!!!!!:)
finally i can post a reply!!! had too get rid of ye ole name since they wouldn’t let me reset the password.anyway… loved your post!!! so glad that alice didn’t let roxy get to her in this chapter. but f*** roxy for what she did to dana. and yay for david for coming to her rescue. but damnit dana call the cops already!!! jeez!!!!! you are still my favorite writer darling… post soon. xo
