Dana – You mean everything to me, Alice. I can put it away.
Alice – What about throwing it away… how about that Dana!
Dana – Well it seems stupid to do that, it’s a perfectly good clock.
Alice – So I’m suppose to be good with this? Look what she did to us… we just talked about all this.
Dana – I know… but
Alice – But what, Dana……. you need this to remind you of her! You still love her after all she’s done? I’m sorry but I can’t be so forgiving…
Dana – Alice, I love you. I can’t explain why I can’t get rid of the clock… I don’t understand it myself. I just need to keep it.
Alice – I think you better figure out why it means so much to you, Dana.
Alice grabbed her coat and headed for the door.
Dana – Where are you going?
Alice – I need a little space right now. I’m going for a walk.
Dana – Please… don’t go.
She was already out the door and Roxy was hot on her heels.
Dana thinking….. Damn you, Roxy! You just couldn’t wait to tell Alice. Watch your step…. cause I’m going to take you down. If you think Alice is yours… think again…
Roxy – Alice…. wait up.
Alice – Go away, Roxy.
Roxy – Hey, is it my fault Dana is keeping secrets from you?
Alice – I know you have to be here, but it doesn’t give you the right to interfere in my life… or Dana’s.
Roxy – Maybe so…. but if she cared about your feeling at all she’d get rid of that clock. I know it’s what I would do.
Alice – Don’t talk to me right now…… I’m upset enough as it is.
Roxy gave Alice her space. Just knowing she was there when she needed her was enough.
Dana was in the mood to do a little snooping while Roxy was gone. She remembered the combination of the briefcase and opened it up. Most everything she saw was useless… that was until she saw something that stood out. It was a copy of police report written by one of the officers in charge of the crime scene…. the crime scene at her house, about Lara. What would Roxy be doing with that? It wasn’t like it was a federal case. She went to her computer to run off a copy for herself. Nothing else looked interesting enough so she put the report back and closed the briefcase. Dana read the whole thing. The most troubling part was when the officer said there was no body at the scene. Sara had said there was no body at the funeral because of a mix up… but was that the truth? Did Sara lie to her… or did someone lie to Sara? The idea of someone stealing a body sent chills down her spine… why would they do that? Somehow, Dana had to find out herself. Roxy knew something…. she was sure of it. No use in talking to her about it, Roxy wouldn’t know how to tell the truth even if she tried.

Great Update! Roxy was right about them stopping because of her hesitation. How long can Alice hold her off?
So yes, as you said, this chapter had allot of drama and crap in it but I appreciate the bit of hope you give us in the last paragraph. I know that once the truth comes out Dana will be upset with Alice but in the end they’ll be together. I just hate that Roxy keeps toying with Alice- especially when she’s vulnerable. I’m glad Alice is determined to show Dana how much she means to her but Alice needs to tell Dana the truth soon. You have me curious as to what the hell’s up with Lara’s body (or missing body as the case may be)…I’m still waiting for Dana to get better and for the scorching hot sex to be had ;) Great job as usual and thanks for the comment! Can’t wait till the update…
Wow I grovel at your feet, this will be the third time I’ve read this chapter and I can’t not love it. I tried and failed miserably, Alice needs to get her ass in gear and tell Dana, things are only going to get worse and when the shit hits the fan, they better have a good cleaning lady. I loved the shopping scene, and all the bickering, man Alice you have it hard you’ve got Dana Tony Gina and Roxy all dying to be with you the stress must be otherwordly. Meanwhile I can’t get a glance but that’s ok…whatever. Anyway great chapter again (but you don’t need me to tell you that for you to know it’s amazing). Update soon (but I’ll keep on you and make sure it happens) :)

Thank you for your sweet comment. :D You got me worried there… When I didn’t find an update of this story in the last couple of days, I thought you left me! :P As long as you keep writing this wonderful story (I can’t believe it’s the 40th chapter either!), I’ll keep commenting. :D I’m really curious what’s in that clock. Time will tell, I will try to wait patiently… :S A lot of fighting this chapter. The tension (in all of its meaning) is still building up, nice. :)Poor Dana tough (actually poor all of them), I wonder how she will react when she hears the whole truth. Roxy’s plans to win Alice over always seem to backfire on her in the end, don’t they? :D As you probably can guess, Roxy’s plans are working for me, because they get Alice more drawn to Dana. When did Sharon Fairbanks become so nice and supportive? I think it’s sweet that Alice called her out of concern for Dana. And I justed wanted to say that – in my opinion – the doctor can give Dana an OK (on Dana being healed) in the near future. If the doctor doesn’t want to, they can come to me. I mean if that’s the only thing that’s standing in the way of hot Danish love making, I can pretend to have a medical background and give Dana an OK. :P
Here’s my happy ending…The mob starts gunning for Roxy, The FBI kicks her out for misconduct, she now must fend for herself. Shane catches wind of all this Roxy crap and has some of her old street pals rough her up. Soon the mob catches up to Roxy and she is sleepin’ with the fishes. Dana and Alice confess all of their sins and live happily ever after.

Drama, drama, drama…I loved every bit of it. Roxy is a piece of work but she doesn’t seem te be getting closer to Alice as she wants. That’s a good thing though. I think that Dana hates Roxy as much as I do. Loved Kirstens part in it and cannot wait to find out what happened to Lara’s body!! And Sharon to the rescue, who knew! Go Sharon, make your daughter see the light. Hope Alice tells Dana the truth about her and Roxy just to get that over with. Brteyes you had me for 13 pages and I’m counting the days for the next update. Thanks your great!
