Dana – Would it make you feel better if I told you I plan to take you away for a few days, just you and me… when this is all over.
Alice – Nice try, Dana… but I don’t see my problems going away.
Dana – There is always going to be problems, Al. As long as we face them together, we’ll be ok. I mean look at us…after all thats happened, did you ever think we’d end up together?
Alice – Not with Lara in the picture.
Dana – As bad as that was, we’re still here… together. Soon we’ll be together, the way we were meant to be…
Dana felt guilty about wanting to keep the clock. Alice wouldn’t understand and she wasn’t sure if she ever would. Hell… even Dana didn’t know why Lara still had such a hold on her. Lara was dead and yet she felt her presence as strong as ever.
Dana was everything to Alice. She was her best friend, but most of all the love of her life. Going away with her sounded wonderful. And Alice wanted to look forward to finally making love to her, but she deserved to know the truth first. It would be so easy to be selfish and wait till after they were finally together, but Alice loved her too much to hurt her that way. If they were going to enter into this type of relationship… they needed to be free of all their burdens. She just hoped that Dana could forgive her.
Roxy didn’t get the opportunity to see Dana move the clock out into the livingroom, but when she started working she could help noticing it. The infernal thing kept chiming… every quarter-hour. Roxy liked tinkering with things… maybe she could get it to stop chiming so often. It had to be new, because it wasn’t likely to miss something that made constant noise. Sure enough on the back of the clock was a setting that changed the time of the chimes. She could deal with it going off every hour versus every 15 minutes. Roxy almost walked away until she noticed the brass plate that had the engraving. Well, well, well… what do you know. A gift from Lara. Is has to be new… I would have noticed it before. Wonder what Alice thinks of you keeping a gift from someone that hated her so much… I might just have to ask Alice how she feels about that.

Great Update! Roxy was right about them stopping because of her hesitation. How long can Alice hold her off?
So yes, as you said, this chapter had allot of drama and crap in it but I appreciate the bit of hope you give us in the last paragraph. I know that once the truth comes out Dana will be upset with Alice but in the end they’ll be together. I just hate that Roxy keeps toying with Alice- especially when she’s vulnerable. I’m glad Alice is determined to show Dana how much she means to her but Alice needs to tell Dana the truth soon. You have me curious as to what the hell’s up with Lara’s body (or missing body as the case may be)…I’m still waiting for Dana to get better and for the scorching hot sex to be had ;) Great job as usual and thanks for the comment! Can’t wait till the update…
Wow I grovel at your feet, this will be the third time I’ve read this chapter and I can’t not love it. I tried and failed miserably, Alice needs to get her ass in gear and tell Dana, things are only going to get worse and when the shit hits the fan, they better have a good cleaning lady. I loved the shopping scene, and all the bickering, man Alice you have it hard you’ve got Dana Tony Gina and Roxy all dying to be with you the stress must be otherwordly. Meanwhile I can’t get a glance but that’s ok…whatever. Anyway great chapter again (but you don’t need me to tell you that for you to know it’s amazing). Update soon (but I’ll keep on you and make sure it happens) :)

Thank you for your sweet comment. :D You got me worried there… When I didn’t find an update of this story in the last couple of days, I thought you left me! :P As long as you keep writing this wonderful story (I can’t believe it’s the 40th chapter either!), I’ll keep commenting. :D I’m really curious what’s in that clock. Time will tell, I will try to wait patiently… :S A lot of fighting this chapter. The tension (in all of its meaning) is still building up, nice. :)Poor Dana tough (actually poor all of them), I wonder how she will react when she hears the whole truth. Roxy’s plans to win Alice over always seem to backfire on her in the end, don’t they? :D As you probably can guess, Roxy’s plans are working for me, because they get Alice more drawn to Dana. When did Sharon Fairbanks become so nice and supportive? I think it’s sweet that Alice called her out of concern for Dana. And I justed wanted to say that – in my opinion – the doctor can give Dana an OK (on Dana being healed) in the near future. If the doctor doesn’t want to, they can come to me. I mean if that’s the only thing that’s standing in the way of hot Danish love making, I can pretend to have a medical background and give Dana an OK. :P
Here’s my happy ending…The mob starts gunning for Roxy, The FBI kicks her out for misconduct, she now must fend for herself. Shane catches wind of all this Roxy crap and has some of her old street pals rough her up. Soon the mob catches up to Roxy and she is sleepin’ with the fishes. Dana and Alice confess all of their sins and live happily ever after.

Drama, drama, drama…I loved every bit of it. Roxy is a piece of work but she doesn’t seem te be getting closer to Alice as she wants. That’s a good thing though. I think that Dana hates Roxy as much as I do. Loved Kirstens part in it and cannot wait to find out what happened to Lara’s body!! And Sharon to the rescue, who knew! Go Sharon, make your daughter see the light. Hope Alice tells Dana the truth about her and Roxy just to get that over with. Brteyes you had me for 13 pages and I’m counting the days for the next update. Thanks your great!
