    Author Notes:

    Tina has to deal with Todd and Bette and Tina talk over the phone.

    Bette: “You should go and get some sleep. Should I call you tomorrow or will you call me? I don’t know what your schedule is going to be like and I think that Jonathan has my calendar filled to the max.”

     

    Tina: “I will be heading out to the production set tomorrow and see if I can find out what all of the problems are so it will probably be crazy during the day.  I am not sure if my cell phone will be working in that area because it is a little way up in to the mountains. Why don’t I give you my hotel number and you can call and if I am not here you can leave a message as to when I should call you back?

     

    Bette: “Okay that will work.”

     

    Tina: “1-555-285-8752 room 312. That is the Resort in Cloudcraft, New Mexico.”

     

    Bette “That is 1-555-285-8752 room 312.”

     

    Tina: “That’s it.”

     

    Bette: “I might need that number to call the hotel manager too.”

     

    Tina (curiously): “Why would you call the hotel manager?”

     

    Bette (half jokingly): “For putting my woman in a room with a nearly naked man.”

     

    Tina (laughing): “Bette, you will not call the manager.”

     

    Bette: (softly laughing): “Well no, but I don’t EVEN like the thought of you in a hotel room with a nearly naked man. You didn’t think I was going to let that go without commenting on it did you.”

     

    Tina (laughing and reassuring Bette): “Baby, the only person I want to have nearly naked in my room is you. Well honestly though, I would rather you just be totally naked. Now I am going to hang up the phone before I am tempted to start something that would only lead to further frustration and because I need to sleep.”

     

    Bette: (smiling at Tina’s words): “Okay baby go and get some rest. I love you and I will talk to you tomorrow.”

     

    Tina (yawning once again): “Goodnight baby. I love you and I will be dreaming of you. Bye.”

     

    Bette (softly): “Bye baby. I will be dreaming of you too.”

     

    Over the course of the next three days their day time and early evening hours were filled with work, exhaustion, and an ever present longing to be able to hold one another but at least part of their evening was spent with them talking to one another on the phone. They shared the events of each other’s day with the other but as they talked it always came back to them talking about how one or the other wished they could be holding each other and when it came to saying goodnight it always ended with a softly exchanged I love you and a wish for sweet dreams.
