Bette
got no answer when she called Tina’s and she wondered where she could
be but she didn’t have to wonder long because her phone began to ring
and she picked it up and it was Tina.
Bette: “Hello”
Tina: “Hi baby.”
Bette: (smiling at hearing Tina’s voice) “Hey you. I just tried to call you. Where are you hiding?”
Tina: (softly laughing) “I am not hiding anywhere. I am standing by my car.”
Bette: (curious) “Is something wrong?”
Tina: “No. I just need to tell you something.”
Bette: “What is it baby?”
Tina: (taking a deep breath) “I want to be with you.”
Bette: (not sure she heard Tina correctly and thinking she didn’t just say what I think she did) “Twhat did you just say?”
Tina: (softly) “I am getting in my car and coming to your place because
I want to be with you. I want to spend the night in your arms and I
want us to make love. Is that okay with you?”
Bette: (totally surprised by Tina’s words but her heart bursting with
love) “More than okay, baby. I love you and I will be waiting for you.”
Bette hung up the phone smiling and began grabbing things up from the
apartment to try and create a love nest in her bedroom. It only took
her a few minutes to have the romantic setting she wanted.
Lit candles were scattered around the room, soft music was playing on
the stereo, the bed had been turned down but not before she had spread
a few rose petals between the sheets. There was also a trail of rose
petals from the doorway of the bedroom over to the bed. One single red
rose lay on the nightstand ready to be given to Tina sometime in the
night. She made her way into the kitchen trying to decide whether or
not to open a bottle of wine and that is where she was standing when
Tina knocked on her door.
Bette: (smiling as she opened the door and pulled Tina inside and
kissed her passionately) “What took you so long? I missed you.”
Tina: “I was trying to decide about an overnight bag.”
Bette: (puzzled because Tina’s hands are empty) “Did you leave it in the car?”
Tina: “No. I didn’t bring anything because I decided that everything I need is standing right in front of me.”

Okay this chapter made me late to meet one of my friends but as soon as I saw it had been posted I had to read. And may I say, WHOA! I am glad I was late. It’s about time these two got together.
I did miss Alice’s antics with the other 2 stooges but Bette and Tina definitely needed some alone time. I have a feeling they’re all gonna know what’s happened though once Bette and Tina both sport Botox smiles.
On another note, thanks for the chapter and good luck with the tennis matches. I hope they went well and you made the finals. Glad to hear Heart’s knee surgery went well.
