    Thats my girl. Let me get you some water, okay. Bette kissed her gently on the lips, picked up the two pizzas and headed into the kitchen. She poured Tina some water and as she reached into the refrigerator to get some lemon, she saw Tina go past her vision.

    T? Where are you going?

    Ill be right back, babe.
    Bette knew Tina was a bit shaken by her bad dream. She just wanted to sit with her for a while, let her settle back into reality and know all is okay. Whew, Bette couldnt even touch on the subject if that dream had been hers and Tina met with an unfortunate accident – oh, no, no ,no. Cant go there, cant go there.

    Bette went back to the couch and waited for Tina to return.

    Hey, T, you feeling a bit better now?

    Tina plopped down next to Bette. Yeah, baby, Im back with the here and now. Im sorry I was so upset, but it seemed so damn real.

    Well, it wasnt and Im here with you. And were going to have family night with the girls. I wish Jenny could be here, too, but well catch her for the next one. Look, I picked up an old tearjerker, Dark Victory and a little hotness for us all – even though weve seen it a zillion times- Desert Hearts.

    You did good, babe. Can we talk before the girls get here?

    About your dream,T? Sure.

    No, not directly- well, maybe – I dont know.

    What is it, baby? Tell me, Bette said.

    Weve talked about that night and what happened –

    Bette cringed just at the mention of that night but knew even though theyve talked about it and both understand more of what happened between them, that it will never be totally forgotten. Perhaps that is a good thing. The memory of pain is a constant reminder to appreciate your happiness.

    I left behind that night something that was a symbol of our continuity, the solid connection between us.

    Her wedding band – Bette thought – the ring I gave her when I promised – I vowed there would be no other.

    4. I wonder if we’ll get to see a scene like this where Bette and Tina recommit to each other by putting their rings back on. I sure hope so–IC–please put them back together healthily again.
