LOVE AND PRIDE – Chapter 66
Tina was sitting in her room working on an essay that she had finished over the holidays when she had been in Boston with Bette and her family. She hadn’t liked the conclusion she had reached and the reading she had done since for next term had convinced her to change her paper. She could probably defend her position in the essay if she was challenged by her tutor but she could better defend the new position she was taking. The radio was on in the background – she worked better with the gentle intrusion of music while she worked. She had weaned Bette from total silence when she studied to having her favourite tracks playing.
The DJ announced that it was 3:45 – damn. At 4pm they were all due to be taken around the two properties that Bette and Helena wanted to buy and renovate. Tina still had loads of doubts but was willing to go along for Bette’s sake. Tina closed her file and reaching for her sneakers put them on. After waiting for a few minutes she went in search of Bette and Helena – they were downstairs in the back yard arguing over how much feed to put in the watering can for the hanging baskets they had created that morning.
It had been a funny day so far – at breakfast Helena had said that they should make a feature of the huge walled yard they had. So they had gone to the nearby DIY/garden centre and selected flowers – which all three were fairly knowledgeable about and compost and pots and hanging baskets. Once home Tina had challenged Bette to put up the bracket to hold the hanging basket. Two hours a very bad tempered Bette had finally lost her cool especially at Tina and stormed off to make some lunch – leaving Tina to drill the wall, fit the plugs and screw in the new bracket. Tina had gone to her room to do some work leaving Bette and Helena to continue their project.
“Do you two know what time it is?” Tina said appearing at the back door.
Helena glanced at her watch “Shit – we better leave this – its ten to four “

Aww. Yay. Anniversary time. I LOVE this story so I’m glad its back. I love how they are young, in love, and have never been with anyone else.. it gives this story an innocence that is really endearing. Its nice to see two people grow together.. unlike on the real show. PPS.

A sweet return for this story, it’s good to see it again. Now you owe us a chapter detailing their private celebration. The real estate sounds like a good thing, too. While thinking of a different sort of 6 month anniversary of my own, it’s lovely to have B & T’s to contemplate.
