Bette couldnt help but snicker as she grabbed Alices hand and pulled her in the direction of Eric and Tina. Just follow my lead and dont make me hurt you Bette growled.

Tina glanced over to see Bette and Alice heading their way. Bette caught her eye and smiled intently back at Tina. Tina was a little thrown by Bettes fairly obvious come on and decided she was willing to play too.

So kids, how is it going? See anything you are willing to go into debt for? Alice quizzed Eric.

Not yet but the night is still young. He replied.

It certainly is responded Bette not taking her eyes off of Tina. Tina began to blush under the scrutiny of Bettes gaze. Alice quickly latched on to Eric and said Come on handsome, how about you buy a lady a drink before Eric even had a chance to answer Alice had pulled him behind her over towards the bar. Eric turned back around looking at both Bette and Tina while pleading silently for help. Both women laughed as Alice continued to drag poor helpless Eric through the crowded gallery.

Well that may be the last you see of him Bette said to a smiling Tina.

Oh well, I was starting to get sick of him anyway Tina answered. I am not too worried though, I dont think Eric is really Alices type anyway is he?

Are you kidding me, anybody with a pulse and a bottle of tequila is Alices type Bette laughed at her own joke and secretly wished Alice had been there to hear it. Tina joined in with Bettes laughter and said Well gosh she sounds like fun.

Bette moved in closer to Tina and suggestively whispered How about you Tina, are you fun?

Even though Tina was getting more than a little flustered she was determined Bette was not going to get the better of her. Yes I can definitely be fun. What do you have in mind?

Bette smiled at Tinas self confidence and continued on with her light banter and sexual innuendos. Well there are a lot of things I have in mind for you just so you are aware. Let me put my cards on the table. I am going to spend what ever time and energy it takes to make you mine and I will not be deterred from my mission by anything or anyone.

Tina laughed out loud at Bettes outrageous declaration. Well that will be a good trick considering I am absolutely head over heals in love with Eric. Oh yeah, and one other thing.I am not now or nor have I ever been attracted to women. I am sorry Bette but you are definitely barking up the wrong tree.

Well as I told Alice earlier, nothing worth having is ever easily achieved. Bette replied undeterred by Tinas response.

Tina looked back at Bette and thought to herself I am not sure if I should be flattered or offended but either way this woman really does just ooze charisma. I am sorry to disappoint you Bette but that is just never going to happen. You are just going to have to settle for my friendship I am afraid. Tina emphatically stated

Even with this stern warning Bette could not help but notice the smile still on Tinas lips. Cant blame a girl for trying came Bettes response. Friendship it is. She reached her hand out and shook Tinas. So friend, tell me all about yourself. I dont even know your last name yet.

It is Kennard and I am a script developer for a movie studio, I have lived in LA all my life and I have been dating Eric for 8 months. That is it in a nutshell. Tina reported

Are you serious, you have being seeing Eric for 8 months and I am just meeting you now. I will have to make up for that. Why dont you and Eric come over to my place on Sunday? I am having an informal get together with a few of my friends and now that you and I are officially friends I would love it if you would joined us. Bette offered.

I dont know. I will have to talk to Eric and see if he has any plans. As if on que Eric and Alice walked back over to Bette and Tina.

Lets ask him now shall we. Hey Eric I was just telling your charming girlfriend that I am having some people over on Sunday and would love it if you guys could make it also. Bette held her breath waiting for Erics reply.

He looked at Tina, shrugged his shoulders and said that sounds fine to me. What do you think Babe.

Before Tina could open her mouth Alice shrieked I would love to go Sweetpea but I think we should lay off the pet names in front of the old ball and chain. Everyone including Tina laughed at Alices humour.

Great it is settled then. Sunday 3:00 pm at my place. I will give you the directions before you leave Bette said

Eric and Tina headed off hand in hand to look at the rest of the exhibit while Bette plotted her next move.

So Casanovahow did it go? Alice inquired.

Well you were right Alice. This is going to be tougher than I thought. I am going to have to pull out the big guns. Bette replied

Oh for God sakes Bette nobody wants to see your *****. Please keep them covered up. We are in public in case you forgot..and what were you expecting. That after a five minute conversation she was going to forget she was straight and fall on the floor with her legs in the air. Alice muttered

No Al, you are the only woman I know that I would expect to see that kind of a reaction from.not Tina.. only you Al. Bette sneered.

Oh dont get your self in a knot just because you were unable to convert Tina over to the ***** side of life in one conversation. Quite frankly I am thinking it would even take me a day or two before I had Tina eating. Alice was cut off by Bettes rapid response.

Dont you dare say it Alice or I will kick your *****..right here.right now Bette warned

Relax Porter. I was just going to say eating out of my hand. Could you please keep that filthy mind of yours out of the gutter for ten minutes? Really, sometimes you are just embarrassing. snorted Alice.

Yeah whatever Al. I am going to go give those directions to Eric and then we are going to try and rustle up so other people to come over on Sunday so it just doesnt end up being the four of us. That would not be good. Any ideas on who I can invite? Bette asked

Lets see, considering every one you know is either a ***** or dead I will take care of the invite list so you can make a good impression on your future wife.

One more comment like that and you will be a dead *****. Bette cautioned.

Jeez Crankenstein, it isnt my fault you wont be getting laid tonight. I didnt ask you to hit on the only woman at the party you had absolutely no chance of scoring with. I cant say that I blame her though. That Eric is one fine looking piece of male anatomy. Alice drooled

Al can you, once and for all, make up your mind and pick a side. Then at least half of us would be safe from your evil clutches. Bette turned a walked over to Eric and Tina.

Hey Tina since Eric seems so engrossed in that painting why dont you follow me to my office and I will get you those directions Tina look at Eric for a little help but he was so involved in the painting it did even register with him that Bette had spoken. Tina reluctantly smiled at Bette and proceeded to follow her down the dimly lit corridor to her office.

Bette opened the door and stepped back so Tina could enter. The room was dark and Tina was starting to get a little uncomfortable. She could feel Bette close behind her and all of a sudden she was not too confident in her ability to keep Bette at bay. Bette slowly moved past her while brushing her hand across Tinas back in the process. Tina felt the touch and quickly step back and out of Bettes reach. Bette walked over to her desk and turned on a small lamp. She looked up at Tina and smiled directly into her warm brown eyes. Tina looked away and stumble for something to say.

So this is where you spend your days. Tina mumbled

Bette laughed at her awkward attempt to make conversation and came back around her desk and stood directly in front of Tina. Here are the directions to my house. You can use them on Sunday or you can use them later tonight if you like. Either way I will be happy. Tina notice how Bettes tongue gently glided over her bottom lip as she finished speaking. This cant be happening Tina told herself. She surely isnt trying to seduce me right here in her office. Not after the conversation we just had and not with my boyfriend right outside. But Tina knew this was exactly what Bette was doing and she needed to get out of there quickly.

Bette lean in even closer to Tina and whispered three small words directly in to her ear. Kiss me Tina.
