    Saturday night – Part 1

     

     

     

     

    She looked at the photograph on her chest of drawers – -Peggy, Melvin, Helena and Bette taken at a farewell meal for the two girls .

     

     

     

    She knew that Melvin would miss Bette way more than Peggy would miss her. Plus having both of their daughters in Britain would make their relationship easier.

     

     

    She studied Bette’s photo — in time Bette would break hearts – get her some confidence and she would be ready for take off.

     

     

    Helena finished curling her hair, applying her make up and her final touch was to dab some perfume on her breasts – she was more than ready for Ms Tina Kennard.

    Bette stood outside the pub trying to deal with the emotions that were racing through her brain. She was anxious as well as excited. Taking a deep breathe she pushed the door open and went inside

    Tina arrived on time with a bottle of cheap red wine. She knocked on the door and soon heard someone coming to answer it

     

     

     

     

    “Well HEEELLLLOOO Ms Kennard “

     

     

     

    Helena looked stunning and Tina first reaction was that of terror. Why the hell was she doing it ? This woman was WAY too advanced for her.

     

     

     

    It had not crossed Tina’s mind to do herself up — she was just wearing faded jeans, a orange shirt and baggy grey sweater – no make up and her hair in a ponytail.

     

     

    In comparison – Helena was WOW

     

     

    “H — he — hey there Helena “

    Tina walked in and looked around the house -it was very cosy and warm. She lead her through to the sitting room. There were posters of the NY skyline and of Boston on the walls, the sofa was huge with tan coloured throws covering it. A large TV and video were in a corner and a hifi with a large album collection was opposite the TV.

     

     

    “This place is great “

     

     

    “Thank you – I forgot to ask you – are you a vegitarian ? “

    17. You give us drama in your other stories and now you tease us. This is not fair Ally not fair at all. As to whether that “dark voice” belongs to Bette or not–well that can go either way with you writing it. I can’t wait for the next chapter—the anticipation is killing me, but I love it.

    39. Hey Ally, In is only because your writing is so good that people are demanding more of it. LWing and Long&WindingRoad are both classics. I will wait for them to reappear as this drama is good enough to reread and reread over and over again. You are torturing us all by keeping Bette and Tina apart however I do hope that the dark voice belongs to Bette however knowing your twisted nature it could be Alice or Shane. Bette final realization was perfect even if she is now contemplating all the difficulties rather than focussing on the benefits of finding knowing yourself and what you want.     41. Mmmm…a dark voice, well it must be Bette. How comes Helena being so nice and friendly towards Bette can be such a jackass with Tina. Well, maybe you don’t like Helena that much ;), probably you have to watch some more of the S3 episodes, she changed a lot you now. But really that’s up to you.
