    Lost, Part 13

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to this story. This last week was finals week so you know that that means don’t you? Two words. Summer Break. Yay! I made it through my first year of teaching; I’m so glad I never had to get a REAL job!

Now my wife and I are buying our first house so things will get crazy all over again. As Bette would say, “Does it ever fucking end?”

So instead of packing and getting things ready I am doing the only logical thing I can do; painting stuff and writing stories.  We don’t close for another week so I have a little time!

Sorry it’s short, let me know where you want it to go; comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks again for reading! You might want to read back to understand what’s going on.

    Previously……

“You’re the first person I want to talk to when something good, something bad, or even something ordinary happens,” said Bette pulling away briefly and tipping Tina’s chin so she could look her in the eye. “You could never lose me.”

“So where do we go from here?”

“Where do you want it to go? I’ll do anything.”

    “I want us back.”

Bette smiled as Tina finally told her the words that she had longed to hear since she left.

Her smile faded for only a moment, but a moment was all it took as Bette’s face registered doubt as she came to the realization about how all of this would change her life; Tina wanted her back, but she would have to end things with Jodi. Even if she forgave Tina, could she really ever forget?

Suddenly she wondered if she was strong enough to do this again.

What she forgot was that while she could hide her thoughts from other people with her smile, Tina could see past the smile into her soul, and had seen the entire conversation that had played across Bette’s face in only a moment.

    —————————————

    Moments…

I…want that too, Tina said as she looked down.

Bette was always really easy to read, and she knew it; a fact that was made clear by the painful look that was now etched across Tina’s face.

    1. ARGHHHHH… not a very nice move to leave it right there. at least bette has intentions of doing the right thing!!! Now if tina would only slow down and listen… good luck with ur move! :)PPS

    2. Bette needs to make sure Tina understands what she needs. I am glad that Bette is trying to do things right and hope that Tina will come to see it will work if she gives Bette the time to finish things in the correct way with Jodi.
