    Lost love

It was a sneaky mission. Helena had escaped with a bag in hand; a bag full of cold, hard cash. Looking back, she gazed one last time at the very place she escaped from. It was Catherine’s house and Helena had snuck in and out, without being detected, with the all the green money from Catherine’s safe. After the crime had been committed, the first thing Helena does is go over Alice’s house.

Her heart racing as she drove, Helena arrived at Alice’s home and bounded up towards her door; banging on it with three hardy knocks. The door, at first, creaked open slowly, then swung open to expose Alice with a perplexed look on her face. All Alice saw was Helena out of breath, holding a very large and very strange looking bag. Before Alice could even question the situation, Helena spoke.

“Alice, can I stay at your house while Tasha is over seas? I don’t want to cramp your style Alice,” Helena said, trying to keep as casual as possible. Alice opened the door more, allowing Helena in within her home. She followed her into the living room.

“Helena you’re not going to cramp my style,” Alice replied, “I have no style to cramp since Tasha went back into the army. Besides, you being here can help me keep my mind off of her.”

Helena was relieved that she had a safe haven to call her own, after what she had done. She leaned in close and embraced her kind friend Alice, but it slipped. The money from the safe had escaped from her hand and fell to the ground, spilling out all over the mahogany, hard wood floor. Helena gasped and everything suddenly went into slow motion. She crouched down and tried to scoop up all the money, but Alice grabbed her by the shoulders before she could. Alice looked her dead in the eye.

“Helena where did all this money come from,” Alice questioned. Her face got even more serious, if that was even possible, “Helena you didn’t rob a bank did you? Cause it would really suck if I had to go to jail.” It was amazing how Alice kept the humor in every situation; even ones as dreadful as this one.
