It was clear as soon as they walked into the house at 101 Cedar Park Drive that they both loved it. They wandered hand-in-hand through the airy, well-lit rooms and talked about where furniture would fit and which room would be Emilys and which would be theirs.

The lounge room was large and open plan with a kitchen and family room off to one side. The French doors opened onto a deck which led down a short flight of stairs to a large garden with a pool.

I can see us sitting out here in the evenings said Tina quietly.

It even has a herb garden Bette pointed.

They tried to be objective; it was further for Bette to drive to work, the pool would need to be fenced off so Emily couldnt get into it, but both of them had already fallen in love with the house.

Do you think said Bette turning to Tina that you could hide that smile on your face while we talk to the realtor because if she sees it shell be adding not subtracting thousands.

They walked through the house one last time and met the realtor out the front.

Bette drove straight home so they could sit down and do the maths, work out exactly what they could offer.

Are we really doing this? asked Tina Buying a house together? Weve only been back together 3 days. Isnt this a little crazy? She was excited and afraid at the same time and desperately needed Bettes reassurance that they were doing the right thing.

Mmmhmm said Bette but I told you if youre not ready Ill buy it and well work out something later…

It was a compromise that Bette had finally suggested. She knew the house was a good investment and she was happy to buy it. If Tina needed to buy into half of it to feel it was theirs then shed let her do that. She was confident though that theyd be able to work something out, something that allowed Tina to feel she was contributing 50-50.

Tina felt giddy; she loved this house in the same way that shed loved their first house. Shed known it was right for them the minute shed walked through the front door. Oh my god..were buying a house.. she said the excitement evident in her voice and she took Bettes face in her hands and kissed her.

Bette returned the kiss and moved to get back to work but Tinas hands stayed cupping her face.

She looked into Tinas eyes, thought she saw desire there but was afraid to act on it without some confirmation that this is what Tina wanted from her What are you doing T?

Kissing you.. Tina said hesitantly afraid to voice how much she wanted this woman in front of her.

I can see that Bette smiled but I thought we were trying to buy a house

It can wait a little Tina said, hoping Bette would pickup her hints and not make her say anything more.

Bette took slow even breaths and tried not to break the spell between them Tell me what you want T

Do I have to spell it out? Tina said shyly.

Yeah ..you do..I want to make sure theres no misunderstandings Bette said.

I want you Tina said huskily.

Bette stood up and holding Tina lightly in her arms they moved together towards the bedroom.
