“Line of Sight” – (MAR Fan Fic Challenge) Part 2 of 2

    Chapter Three.

Tina pushed into the room and let her bag drop.  Bette followed her in, locking the door behind them and headed towards the stove in the corner of the room where she unceremoniously dumped her bag.   Tina watched her move, wishing the corner of the room were farther away.  ‘God, I love how that woman moves,’ she thought.   Tina couldn’t help but gravitate towards Bette.

“Angie looks so much like your mother.  Did you notice how they both tilt their heads the same way when they talk?”  Bette said as she opened the door to the stove and picked up the matches.  “And she loved watching the sunset at the restaurant.  She is going to love Point Reyes and it’s really great that your parents are taking her up to Monterey tomorrow.”  Bette bent down, struck a match and lit the newspaper under the logs.

“It’s really cozy here and I am going to love being able to sleep in with you tomorrow,” said Tina.  Bette tossed the match inside and shut the stove door.

“T, I love this place.  All the little touches like the handmade furniture, the stove loaded and ready to go.  This room is perfect, don’t you think?”   She looked around at the handcrafted bed with huge pillows and comforter, the wood planking on the walls covered in a crème colored paint and the antique wooden dresser and started to stand.  By the time Bette was back on her feet, Tina was taking her into her arms, tangling her fingers in Bette’s hair.

“Bette Porter, you are not going to make me wait any longer.”   Tina pulled Bette to her and pressed her body against her.  Bette responded immediately, her hands pulling Tina’s hips into hers and then moving slowly up her body, caressing her back and touching Tina’s hair as they kissed.

Tina kissed her slowly and deliberately, then leaned back and started to unbutton Bette’s blouse, trying to maintain composure.  Then Tina hurriedly pushed a loose piece of hair back from the left side of her face and looked into Bette’s eyes hungrily.  Bette got a sly smile on her face and caught Tina’s hands, pulling them away from her buttons.
