Life with Mom and Tina Ch 52

Hey what about me? Tina said pulling her away from Bette and hugging her.

I miss you too Mama. Jess said giving Tina the same warm and loving hug that she had given Bette.

Oh sweetie I missed you too. I am glad you are home. Tina said.

    Me too. Jess said.

Okay lets get your bags and go home I know the boys and Angelica are anxious to see you. Tina said.

All right. Jess said and headed towards the bus with Them to get her luggage.

    HOME

Jess stood by her bed and was unpacking her bag. She threw the clothes in a large laundry basket. Bette walked into the room.

I put your mail on your desk. She said.

Thanks. Jess said and continued to unpack.

Okay well if you need help just let me know. Bette said turning and walked out of the door.

Mom Jess said. Bette quickly appeared back in the door way.

    Yeah honey. She said.

You wanna stay and just talk while I unpack. Jess said.

Sure. Bette said and walked into the bedroom. She sat on the bed next to Jesss bag. What do you want to talk about? She asked.

I dont know I just thought we could talk like we used, and catch up. Jess said. Bette was a little surprised because had been very reclusive about her life outside of the family and usually told them the very least that she could.

Okay sounds good. How was your summer other than the Running thing? Bette asked.

It was all right I guess. I wish I would have had more free time but I other than that it was good. How was yours? She asked.

It was okay a little boring without you here stirring things up. Bette said smiling. Jess looked at her and through a piece of clothing at her.

Hey now I dont stir things up around here. Jess argued playfully. Well maybe a little She added after getting a yeah right look from Bette.

No really, the summer was pretty uneventful. Bette said.

It must have been for you guys to be able to get way for a long weekend in Palm Springs. Jess said.

    1. Very nice, I am glad that Jess took time to make her own choice and really lived through the experience ( as they say in the wizard of Oz “There is no place like home”).

    2. Great chapter and all’s right with the world. Where is Shannon, she was not mentioned when they went to get Jess from camp, nor is there any mention of her being at home with them now. Thanks for the post.

    3. I miss Bette and Tina when they are not together. See IC how happy they can be and have a large family. I am glad that Jess is missing her mom and not just a little. In the earlier chapters you could tell that Jess was pulling away from not only Bette but the entire family. Jess is such a part of Bette that Bette seems lost without her (just like she is lost without Tina). Great chapter.
