    "That way you can both stay home all the time together like mommy and mama say they want to." He said.

    "That sounds like a good reason to me." Cat said.

     

     

    Bette and Tina beat Jess, Cat and the boys to the planet.

    "I told you." Ian said to his brother.

    "Aunt Shane will let us play. She always does." Teddy said.

    "Hey girls. Bette you two had some news to share." Angus said.

    "I heard the same about you." Jess said.

    "I do. You first." He said.

    "No way. I bet I know what it is." Jess said looking at Kit.

    "What?" He said.

    "Well considering she’s wearing a new piece of jewelry I’d say you are finally going to be my uncle." Jess said.

    "Good guess, and here is your smoothie and your coffee." He said. Jess hugged him across the counter. "What’s your news?" He asked.

    Jess held her hand up and put her finger over her mouth. He grinned and nodded.

    Cat and Jess walked over and sat down with the gang at their usual large round table.

    "So Tell us the news." Alice said.

    "What news?" Jess asked. Even after all the years she still loved to tease Alice and she knew exactly how to do it.

    "Come on. Don’t tease." Alice said.

    "I don’t know what your talking about. Does anybody know what Al is talking about?" Jess said with a grin. Both Bette and Tina were playing along. They thought it was amusing watching Jess and Alice, because Jess was the only one who could match Alice shot for shot.

    "This is killing me." Alice said.

    "Why don’t you ask Angie?" Bette said winking at Jess.

    "Okay. Angie pretty please tell Auntie Alice what sissy said." Alice begged the little girl in her lap.

    "Sissy say Yes." Angelica said.

    "Yes what?" Alice said.

    "Sissy say Yes." Angelica repeated.

    "Come on babe quit torturing Al." Cat said even though she found it just as funny as the rest of the group she knew how it felt to be on the other side.

    "You think we should?" Jess asked looking at her.

    3. Poor Mama Bette just doesn’t want to cut that cord. But Jess will always be her baby. Must be some ring for everyone to use the word “Huge”. Too cute and about time.

    5. That was great, I felt with Bette…her little girl is all grown up but 2 years is a long way away and how come Cat just gets to slot into her dad’s job? Isn’t that nepotism? and not really likely to happen? after all she’s a softball/baseball coach isn’t she? sorry if I’m asking duh questions!!!! I’m a bit of a realist….PPS

    7. Bette feels like she is loosing part of her body and is struggling to let her little girl grow up. Tina will be there to help Bette get through this and I hope that Bette will let her help her.

    9. Hey Charmwed, Just had to say that this story is awesome!!! It was brilliant to see Jess opening up to her mom and telling her just how it is. The line “I will always need you.” was perfect and conveyed all the emotion between Bette and Jess. Thak you so much for this marvelous saga. Your Loyal Fan.

    11. That went well…I was scared for a moment…things change who knows in 2 years something else might have come along…meaning other job opportunities. Alice is too funny.
